Family-friendly (and dog-friendly too) Camping Saint-Michel is set in a spacious landscaped park, with plenty of greenery and flower-filled beds about the place. It has easy access to major attractions in both Brittany and Normandy – and is only 10 minutes’ drive from the medieval wonders of UNESCO-listed Mont Saint-Michel. But there’s masses to keep everyone busy on site. Kids can have lots of fun in the heated swimming pool (open from mid-May to mid-September) while you keep an eye on proceedings from the bar terrace, there’s a play area with bouncy castles for them to jump around on and activities at the kids’ club in high season. Older offspring may like to kick a ball around on the football field, challenge new-found friends to a game of pétanque or play ping pong. And few kids – whatever their age – will turn down the chance to meet the donkeys, wallabies, rabbits and chickens at the petting farm. Handy services for keeping the family well fed – and therefore happy – include a mini-market for stocking up on essentials, a bakery for the all-important daily baguette (please order the night before) and a takeaway service from the bar in July and August (not Mondays). A few practical details here: modern facilities include toilet blocks with hot showers, family washrooms, disabled access and coin-operated washing machines. Anything else that you need, just ask at reception.

不喜欢 The site is in Courtils which is 9 kilometers from Mont St Michel. There are numerous better sited campsites if you are visiting Mont St Michel.
The site restaurant was closed for the 2 days of my stay for a private function with no warning on the pitch up website.
The function on the first night was a very loud party until midnight which disturbed the campsite.. The attitude of the staff over this late night noise was 'we don't care'. This is really poor.
The motorhome service point was extremely dirty and poorly maintained. The hoses for water supply cracked and leaking.

喜欢 Sehr freundlicher Mitarbeiter am Empfang, Restaurant und Bar am Platz. Fahrradverleih und die Nähe zum Mt. St. Michel.
Große Parzelle und sehr schöner Platz.

不喜欢 Toiletten können häufiger gereinigt werden und Papier fehlte oft. Unisex Toiletten sind gewöhnungsbedürftig.

In Dinard (45 minutes), set the kids to building sandcastles on Plage de l’Écluse, make time for a pamper in one of the spas, and have an evening wander along the seafront Clair de Lune promenade to see the sunset.
