La Noyeraie

In the Périgord Noir region, also known as 'Vallée des Châteaux', you will find heaps of quirky medieval villages with their majestic castles. Discover the medieval town of Sarlat, only 12km away and stroll along the historic center and the Place de la Liberté. Visit the Cathedral of Saint-Sacerdos, in the heart of the old town, and tickles your taste buds in one of the many restaurants and cafés. On Saturdays, don't miss out the town's traditional market, one of the most popular markets in Dordogne. You will find many delicious local delights: truffles, foie gras, cheese, dried sausages (saucisson madame as French say) and many more. Visit Beynac, a medieval village on the shore of the River Dordogne: go check out the town's castle hanging on a cliff above the village, you cannot miss it! A few kilometres southwest of Beynac, you will find the stunning Castle of Milandes with its outstanding gardens set over several terraces.
