You’ll be hard pressed to find a site that’s closer to the coast than Camping Opatija – getting to the seashore from this peaceful Kvarner site is a simple matter of walking down 65 steps. Once you’re down there you’ll have a choice of sitting on the beach or strolling along to the harbour area for fishing supplies, boat trips and kayak/paddleboard rentals. Proximity to the water isn’t the only selling point of this place though – it’s also got a fabulous spot in the woods just on the edge of the village of Ičići. That means you’ll have a chilled-out natural setting to relax in, with plenty of shade and privacy and a quiet atmosphere (well, apart from the chirping of the crickets…) At the same time, you’ll still be able to walk to pretty much everything you need – including a supermarket, cafés and places to eat. Looking to explore a little further afield? Getting out and about should be easy enough, as the site is only a short way from the main road. It’ll take you about five minutes to drive to the elegant seafront town of Opatija and half an hour to Rijeka – or you could opt to stick with the natural views by heading up into the Učka Nature Park (15 minutes) for a hike. Dogs are welcome to join you on the pitches here, which are simple in style but have access to wifi, a washing-up area, toilets and showers.

喜欢 Positiv war nur das der Platz nah am Meer gelegen ist und man zu Fuß nur 5 Minuten unterwegs ist

不喜欢 - Es gibt keine festen Plätze die zugewiesen werden oft blockieren Leute mehrere Stellplätze mit nur einem Zelt und ihrem PKW
- In den duschen gab es nie heißes Wasser
- Die sanitären Anlagen sind sehr veraltet und ungepflegt

喜欢 La posizione: sembra di essere nel bosco eppure meno di mezzo km più in basso c'è il mare.
Comodissimo a piedi: c'è una scalinata che conduce alla passeggiata lungo il mare e poi è possibile scegliere dove andare.
In bici 300 m e sei al mare, al ritorno c'è da faticare un po' perché è parecchio in salita.
Poco sotto l'ingresso c'è un market, comodissimo. E nel campeggio, al mattino, c'è un la rivendita del pane.
Bagni pulitissimi e molto tranquillo. C'è anche la lavastoviglie che, dicono, essere molto ecologica rispetto a lavare a mano.

不喜欢 Non c'è un posto per lavare i panni a mano, non c'è un posto dedicato per lavare i bambini piccoli (solitamente c'è una vasca o un lavabo), la doccia non è sempre calda, soprattutto se c'è molta gente.
Le piazzole non sono delimitate e si fa un po' fatica a posizionarsi.
Il rapporto qualità - prezzo: è molto caro per essere un due stelle. Probabilmente è dovuto al luogo, tutto è abbastanza caro. È una zona molto carina, con abitazioni di lusso.

喜欢 Läget nära stranden. Bra och fräscha toaletter och det var dusch med gratis varmvatten. Mysig camping med mycket träd som skuggar. En liten bagerishop och kaffesump fanns.

不喜欢 Lerjord så det blev väldigt lerigt och smutsigt när det regnade.
Lite oorganiserade vad gäller platserna. Det var bara att ställa sig hur som helst. Bra på ett sätt men kanske inte så platseffektivt. Lite svårt att hitta till då adressen på hemsidan var huvudgatan genom byn och i te den aktuella adressen.

喜欢 The casual nature of the site. We were there late September when the site wasn’t busy so there was no designated pitch, just pick one! We arrived after dark & it was raining so we just went to bed. Woke the next morning, went for a wee walk around and picked a really nice pitch overlooking the bay.

不喜欢 Showers are a bit of a plumbing misjudgement. The individual showers all have a step in and drain away just fine. The changing areas drain into the middle of the sink area so get a bit mucky if it’s been wet and folk’s shoes are muddy.

The site isn’t clearly signposted on the main road. The entrance is up a hill but the most noticeable sign on the road is at a walkway path which caused us to drive up & down past it a couple of times before we checked Google Maps for the way in.

Come to this part of Croatia for the coastline? There are lots of ways to take it all in, including hiring kayaks or paddleboards (10 minutes’ walk), settling on Peharovo beach (five minutes’ drive) or making your way to Mošćenice (15 minutes) for a stroll around the pretty village before heading down to the beach for a swim in the clear turquoise waters. For a different kind of seaside view, make your way to Opatija (five minutes) for a stroll along the 12-kilometre seafront promenade – see if you can spot the 'Walk of Fame' on the high street too, filled with the names of various Croatian talents. Rijeka (half an hour) is primarily known to many tourists as a port city, but it's worth spending some time there to visit the castle, see the Roman Arch and wander around the modern art museum. Sticking to countryside pursuits, there are some lovely hiking and cycling trails in Učka Nature Park (15 minutes), including some that lead to a waterfall, an ancient garden or up to the tower on top of Mount Učka.
