Camping y Restaurante Baumbach is in the town of Llanquihue, seven kilometres north of Puerto Varas and 15 kilometres south of Frutillar. The site is located on the shores of Lake Llanquihue and has great views towards the area's volcanoes: Osorno, Calbuco and Puntiagudo.
As the name suggests, there is a restaurant on site, serving coffee, German-style cakes and light snacks throughout the day, as well as lunches and dinners on request. There's also a football pitch, kids' games, wifi access and a kayak rental service. Bathrooms have hot showers and pitches are equipped with electricity, water and fire pits.
The mountains and lakes of the surrounding area are full of active pursuits, including kayaking, hiking, climbing and horse riding. You can also visit the German-style colonial towns of Frutillar and Puerto Varas, or take a day trip to Chiloé to explore the island's national parks.
