Lively, laidback and surrounded by lovely Ardennes landscapes, Verblijfpark Ardinam is an excellent family-friendly choice for days and nights spent in the countryside of southern Wallonia. Wondering what you can get up to around here? Take a peek at this place's facilities – there's an outdoor pool, a couple of play areas for the kids, a café, a bar and a laundry room, while under a kilometre away in the village of Olloy-sur-Viroin there's a bakery, a traditional charcuterie, a well-stocked food shop and a handful of cosy restaurants. This spacious 15-hectare site is surrounded by wooded hills, with plenty of wildlife and lots of areas that have been given over to nature. The local area has a decidedly rural flavour to it, with plenty of bike paths, walking routes and other rights of way that pass nearby natural landmarks like the Roche aux Faucons rocks and Fondry des Chiens, an enormous sinkhole that’s the only one of its kind in Belgium. Similarly interesting sights are on offer on the other side of the French border too (roughly 15 minutes' drive), making it easy to access a strikingly scenic stretch of the Meuse river that flows through France’s gorgeous Grand Est region.

喜欢: Tolle Natur! Super ruhig und tolle Rezeption und Kinderprogramm. Sanitärhäuser super sauber und tolle warme Duschen! Leckeres Restaurant. Toller kleiner Wasserpark für kleinere Kinder.

不喜欢: Warm Duschen kostet 1,50€ pro 8min. Das geht bei mehreren Tagen und Personen ziemlich ins Geld.

喜欢: The setting of the site, good clean facilities. Flat pitch.

不喜欢: Lack of electricity, booked what I thought was an electric hook up tent pitch but turned out to just be an electric box outside of the tent so unable to have power in the tent.

喜欢: Bar was ok. Cindy on reception helpful and polite

不喜欢: Toilets very dirty and most of gent's out of order no toilet roll in any Toilets (ladies and gents) and for the Toilets you have to purchase a card showers cost 1.50 but machine takes 3. The evening noise is horrendous family had a TV blaring until 1 in the morning then to top it all in the private area behind Reception staff decided to play loud music until early hours avoid this one unless you don't require sleep or sanitary facilities

不喜欢: No loo roll Splash park closed the second day Area around splash park was slippery Generally feels like a run down site, poor maintenance, and lots of additional extras that make the price creep up

喜欢: Thank you for a wonderful stay. The reception staff were very helpful in lending me a cable and my kids really enjoyed the kids pool and play area.

喜欢: La plaine de jeux aquatique, la piscine extérieure, la quiétude, la sympathie du personnel, la richesse naturelle de la région.

喜欢: Lovely area and swimming pool and park were absolutely great for the kids! The campsite was nice and there were flat pitches which made for a comfortable night! Bar on site which was great for sitting and watching the children play whilst having refreshments! The reception was really helpful!

不喜欢: The showers were very dirty in the women’s sanitary facilities but the toilets were clean.

喜欢: De gastvriendelijkheid en de behulpzaamheid. Een hygiënisch park, propere zwembaden en voldoende activiteiten (zwembad, springkastelen)

不喜欢: Onduidelijke informatie op de boekingssite naargelang de realiteit (Bijbetalen voor warm water en er is geen plaats voor de wagen bij de tent). Je ontvangt maar één kaart waarmee je je kan douchen en toegang tot het toilet. Het was puzzelen en wachten op elkaar. De tentplaatsen zijn opgedeeld in 3 niveaus. Ik kan fysiek geen hoge helling op-en-af zonder risico op ontwrichting. Enkele trappen tussen de tentplaatsen door zou geen overbodige luxe zijn.

Verblijfpark Ardinam is located within the well-known Viroinval area, a collection of eight scenic villages that border the Viroin river. The local area has lots of sporty options for guests, including a riding stables (five minutes' drive), a range of fisheries (15 minutes) and, in the pretty riverside town of Revin (25 minutes), opportunities to hire top of the range electric bikes. Family-friendly days out in the vicinity area also easy to find – down the road in Treignes (10 minutes) there's a steam train museum with old locomotives on display, while heading out in the other direction will take you to subterranean safaris at the Grottes de Neptune caves (10 minutes), where there are informative guided tours and spectacular underground boat rides. Looking slightly further afield? You could spend time by the water at the L'Eau d'Heure lakes (30 minutes), where Natura Parc outdoor activity centre can sort your out with watersports or speedy zooms down zipwires. Other highlights in the region include Dinant (40 minutes), an attractive fortified town in the Belgian Ardennes set against a backdrop of steep cliffs. In the mood for more medieval castles? The commanding Citadel of Namur (an hour and 10 minutes), which has roots going back to the 10th century, is also worth the drive.
