Just arrived in the Ardennes? Settle down at Ardenne Camping, a fab family-friendly site located in a peaceful riverside location, and you should soon feel right at home. The site's large pitches are spaced out in a green environment that's just right for families, couples and kids coming here in search of peace and quiet. Ardenne Camping's facilities are well maintained and will allow you to feel settled in no time, with handy amenities including a well-kept play area for younger guests and a modern bathroom block with disabled access. This laidback site allows dogs to come and join you (please keep them on leads though), and barbecues are welcome if you fancy a little outdoor cook-out. Ardenne Camping is also within easy walking distance of a very pleasant riverside beach on the Ourthe river – showers, barbecues and a café are all available here, so it’s a great place to spend an afternoon. While it's surrounded by nature (including an on-site orchard full of local fruit trees), this handy little campsite is only a five-minute drive from the pretty little village of La Roche-en-Ardenne, a historic hotspot with a castle, attractive waterfront and handy amenities like supermarkets, restaurants and a tourist information centre.

不喜欢 Het enige minpunt dat ik kan denken is het lawaai van het verkeer in de nacht.. het ligt net in een bocht dus je hoort iedereen vertragen en optrekken.

喜欢 The setting alongside the river is beautiful and suitable for paddling.
Private plots demarcated with hedges and level pitches.
The toilet and shower blocks are spotless.
Easy access to water and dump with motorhome. Water €2
Walking distance to a cafe and ice-cream.
Le Roche town is beautiful with bars and cafes but sadly we couldn’t get there as restricted with no transport. We saw on the way out.
Excellent WiFi if this is important to you.

不喜欢 Situated alongside a busy road so road noise is normal.
No cycling paths unless you are confident to cycle on a busy main road into Le Roche, about 30 mins away.
No bus facility as we were told it doesn’t always operate during the summer. It didn’t while we were there.
No shop anywhere within walking distance, and we were low on supplies.

不喜欢 Les chiens ne sont pas tous attachés et ça les gens manquent de savoir vivre les miens étaient attachés mais un est arrivé sur mon emplacement et mon auvent a pris un coup 🤷‍♀️ ça c est pas cool

If you'd rather stick to dry land instead, a serene stroll around Parc Chlorophylle (25 minutes) may be the answer – this forest park has some brilliant trails and a great adventure playground for younger visitors. Round off your trip by sipping on local ales at the Brasserie d'Achouffe (20 minutes), a well-regarded brewery that's home to La Chouffe, one of the most popular Belgian beers around.
