添加您的业务详细信息In a deep bend of the meandering river Amblève, in the rugged, forested Ardennes region of eastern Belgium… It almost sounds like the start of a classic fairy tale, right? And who knows, Camping Olympia, a family-friendly site that happens to occupy that very (rather spectacular) spot, could be just the place for your own fairy-tale holiday.
One of the main highlights of this family-friendly site 10 minutes' drive away from Aywaille is its outdoor activities. Sign up for climbing and abseiling in its very own old stone quarry or try shooting, archery, raft-building or sailing.
And then, of course, there are the splendid surrounds to explore, which you can do by mountain bike (available to hire on site) or on foot, along forested trails such as the Balade du Ninglinspo (five minutes’ drive) or the Bain de la Loutre (15 minutes). Those who enjoy exploring on water can canoe along the Ourthe, where they can also indulge in a spot of wild swimming.
When it's time to unwind, head to the two heated swimming pools (with loads of sun loungers in the surrounding paved terrace) and a pool bar. Those who prefer to drink fully clothed head to the indoor bar, with comfortable sofas, or the restaurant; meanwhile the kids make new friends in the games room as they compete around the dart boards, at the billiards tables or at the air-hockey table. They can also have a go at pétanque – as can the grown-ups, of course…

Les Grottes de Remouchamps (five minutes’ drive) are a complex of subterranean caves, including the monumental Cathedral Hall, which is so vast it could hold a 12-storey building. Your visit of the caves is in two parts: a walk of just over a kilometre through a series of atmospherically illuminated caverns, and a boat trip along an underground river.
A lively university city, Liège (35 minutes) has a pretty Old Town with historic buildings such as St Paul’s Cathedral, an imposing Gothic structure with delicately decorated vaults. Another impressive ceiling can be admired at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, or head to La Cité Miroir for art exhibitions in a former pool complex.
Cross the border into the Netherlands and visit Maastricht (one hour), where you can then cross the river Meuse via Sint Servaasbrug, a distinctive centuries-old stone bridge. The Basilica of Our Lady has a forbidding stone facade with two turrets and is surrounded by leafy streets lined with cafes and restaurants.
