Some guests come back to this Flanders site every year… and even a quick look at the pictures will give you a strong hint as to why that may be. The spacious 74-acre grounds, the handy location and the extensive list of leisure facilities all add up to suggest that Vakantiepark Breebos is something of a family holiday gem. Roll up to this site three kilometres from Rijkevorsel and you may find that you don’t need to leave again for quite some time, such is the list of things to keep everyone busy on site. For starters, in July and August (subject to good weather), the site opens up its large swimming pond (with a sandy beach area and a colourful slide) and an outdoor swimming pool with a fun kids’ pool and sun terrace alongside it. Beyond that, you may like to try out pétanque or darts. Kids can also spend time at the outdoor playground (with its giant jumping cushion) or head to the indoor play area for a ball pond, slides and rope swings. There's a water spray park, or throughout the summer, there’s also a programme of activities to get stuck into, including sports, crafts, discos and baking. Among all this, you’ll need to find time to eat: for that, pick up bits at the shop or relax at the spacious restaurant, with its waterside terrace. Lunches, snacks, dinner and drinks are all served up here (and it’s handily next to the playground for restless kids).

喜欢 Wir hatten ein 4 personen Häuschen gemietet, war sauber und alles drin was man so benötigt. War etwas sehr eng.Das Personal war sehr sehr nett und auch jede Frage wurde sehr freundlich beantwortet.

不喜欢 Das nur im Eltern Schlafzimmer Mückenrollos sind. Mit den Stechmücken war es schon sehr unangenehm.

喜欢 The staff and locals were all very friendly and helpful. Lovely clean site with plenty of activities the soft play and toddler pool were a big hit with our daughter. Close to the supermarket and the pitches were large and well maintained.

不喜欢 We weren't informed prior to arrival that the pool was closed during our stay. It didn't bother us to much but would have just been nice to know beforehand.

喜欢 The location very good for public transport. We had a good night on the Saturday with disco. Toilets clean and staff friendly.

不喜欢 Pitch was to far from the toilet block. We where put on the furthest pitch from the block.

不喜欢 We were allocated the smallest of the touring pitches no room to park car
Facilities only open at weekend?
Enroute from UK got caught in traffic telephoned site to let them know we may be a little late man extremely rude was told reception closed, was only 4:30PM, and could get on site until 9:30am following day. We finally arrived about 5:30pm fortunately staff were around and we were able to access the site.

We would like to clarify a few points from your review.
The reception was closed exceptionally early on the day of your arrival, for which we apologize. You were then spoken to by our concierge by telephone. He does indeed speak limited English, but he tried to help you to the best of his ability. Fortunately, we were still able to check you in correctly and to help you further upon arrival.
Regarding the opening hours of our facilities: during the school holidays they are open daily (with the exception of Monday). Outside the holiday periods we have adjusted opening hours, namely on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This information can also be found at the reception.
Finally, we regret that the camping spot was not entirely to your liking. We would have liked to have heard this during your stay, then we could have offered you another spot.

We hope that despite these points you were still able to enjoy your stay and would be happy to welcome you again in the future.

The facilities on site should keep you busy for a good stretch of time, but if you need even more activity, there’s always the option of getting out for a good walk or bike ride. Bikes can be hired on site, and there are maps available too, with plenty of choice for walks of around six to nine kilometres, and some longer windmill-spotting bike routes. Looking a little further afield, the kids should hopefully be on best behaviour with the promise of a day out at either Bobbejaanland amusement park (half an hour’s drive) or the magical fairytale-infused Efteling theme park (50 minutes). No kids in tow? Perhaps head instead for the more grownup pleasures of the trappist brewery in Westmalle (25 minutes). Urban time may well be on the agenda too: Turnhout (20 minutes) is home to a castle, a canalside art trail and the National Playing Card Museum, while Antwerp (50 minutes) has a great zoo, a striking cathedral and several museums including the former home of the artist Peter Paul Rubens.
