What kind of thing might you like to see in your surroundings for a properly rural Pembrokeshire break? A river, perhaps? A huge wildflower meadow? Fields of horses grazing peacefully? Don’t worry if you can’t decide, because all three are on offer at Cudlic Camping, part of a 50-acre family farm about a mile from the village of Burton and 15 minutes’ drive from Pembroke. The current owners are the fifth generation to live here, and you can see why people would want to settle here for such a long time – the surroundings are fabulously peaceful and rural, and it’s a very short walk to the banks of the Cleddau river. The horses are right there on site grazing away in the neighbouring field as part of a business that breeds sport horses. And the wildflower meadows? Well, you’ll be staying among them, on spacious pitches mown into the wild grasses for privacy and peace. Wild flowers usually mean wildlife too, so keep your eyes peeled to see what you can see while you’re here. This is a laidback site where kids and dogs are welcome, and you’re permitted to light a barbecue as long as you’re careful with it. Facilities are on the simple side, but all the essentials are sorted in the form of toilets, hot showers, a covered seating area and a guest kitchen area. There are plenty of footpaths to wander along nearby, and a waterside pub about a mile and a half away. And although this is a truly rural site, it’s also only about five minutes’ drive from the A477 for jaunts to other parts of Pembrokeshire.

喜欢 Quiet site with flat pitches. Fairly priced for a hook up site. Free hot showers. Within walking distance of Burton. Great food and drink at the Jolly Sailor.

不喜欢 Light in bathroom went out too quick (need sensor in toilet or shower for evening). Very minor issue.

喜欢 Beautiful "wild feeling" campsite, really spacious and lots of privacy. The common area is quite cute and spacious enough for a meal on a table. There's a fridge and cutlery.
The owners are a lovely couple and invited us over for tea! Thank you xx

喜欢 We loved staying at Cudlic. It was a lovely quiet field where the kids could run around and we could all enjoy the countryside. The showers and toilet block were good and there was a good kitchen area with a sink, fridge and freezer. Merv, the owner, and his family were very friendly and helpful too.

Seeing some bats and a shooting star were a bonus.

喜欢 Lovely place and very peaceful the owner is an extremely warm and welcoming man who enjoys a chat facilities are on the basic side but still usable and the kitchen / day room is a wonderful touch with fridge , freezer , kettle and cups and glasses that can be used I enjoyed my night there and would come back again if in that area

喜欢 Everything. The meadow was cut to accommodate us and I had ehu. Very peaceful. Weather was on our side which made it perfect. The toilet/shower blocks were very much down to earth but cleaned every day. Showers were lovely, hot and refreshing. If you are looking for a chilled out week/weekend, just to relax this is the place to be. The owners were very attentive and always at hand if any problems. Lovely place can't say enough really. I will be back.

喜欢 Lovely and quiet, rustic, dog friendly setting. They have a really nice communal room and warm showers. It is in a great location for exploring Pembrokeshire. I really enjoyed my stay. The owner is lovely and visited daily to check on us. I asked for a separate food waste bin and he provided one straight away for all of us who were staying at that time.
