Guests looking to minimise their impact on the environment can also charge electric vehicles at Dronwy Caravan Park before heading off for emission-free tours of Anglesey, Snowdonia and beyond.
Down in Llanfachraeth there's a convenience store for last-minute provisions and a pub, while over in the larger village of Valley (five minutes' drive) there's a railway station, small supermarket and takeaways.
Carrying on your adventures on the other side of the Irish Sea? Dronwy Caravan Park is in a convenient location for hopping on the ferry at Holyhead (15 minutes).

Come off the A55 at Junction 3 (Valley). At the traffic lights, turn right. Keep going through Llanfachraeth village, past the Premier shop and the pub. Keep going for half a mile: the entrance to the park will be on your left. Ignore your satnav as you approach the park entrance – it will tell you to make a wrong turn.

Driving over to the mainland, head south to Dolbadarn Castle (40 minutes) for walks on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, or continue into the wilds to scale Snowdon itself (an hour and 10 minutes). For further impressive fortifications, look to west coast spots like Caernarfon (35 minutes), or drive north on to Penrhyn (30 minutes) and Conwy (45 minutes).
