Well, history aficionados, here’s one for you. Presaddfed is a quiet and remote wild campsite set next to the remains of ancient Neolithic chamber tombs. And nature lovers should gather round too, because this site is also close to woodland walks where you might – just might – get to spot red squirrels. As this family-friendly spot is based on a secluded working farm near Bodedern on Anglesey, it’s also a given that you’ll wake up to an abundance of birdsong and livestock grazing in the next-door fields. Bodedern village (20 minutes’ walk) has a renowned butcher’s shop, a handy late-opening convenience store and a pub. If you’d like to explore further afield, jump in the car and you can be paddling in the sea at Trearddur Bay beach in 15 minutes, or hiking in Snowdonia in 45 minutes. Want to try something new? There’s clay pigeon shooting (five minutes’ walk) close by on Saturday and Wednesday, and adrenaline-thumping zipwires over water at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (40 minutes’ drive). Back at base, the well-equipped amenities block has four private shower rooms, toilets and washing-up facilities; otherwise you’re pretty much left to your own devices. There’s only one rule: this is a peaceful spot and the owners would like to keep it that way, so please, no music or loud noise after 9.30pm.

喜欢 Nice quiet campsite with friendly owners! In a great location - withing 30 mins of any part of Anglesey.
Toilets and shower blocks always clean - 4 large showers with toilets in and seperate toilets too. Shower rooms were large enough for me plus both children to go in. Shower is a button push that lasts about 10-15 seconds at a time but wasn't an issue for us.
Spacious pitches and the owners pointed us to the best place to pitch and which direction to face.
Little tuck shop on site was great for ice creams or coffees etc.
Phone charging by the shop which usually always had space, just need your cable.
Fairy Glen was nice for out children (2&5)
Outdoor Games were a nice addition.
Lots of space for children to play around, ride bikes and explore.
Free firepits to use too, we didn't use one for a fire but did use one to raise our BBQ off the ground.
Would definitely return!!

不喜欢 Occassional smells from the chemical toilets, but our pitch was directly opposite, not enough to ruin the stay.
Sometimes had to queue for the showers as there are only 4 but we were there over a busy Bank Holiday so it's to be expected!

喜欢 1st 🥇 staff/owner is lovely and helpful always asked nothing to lose.
2nd. Spot and space is great too
Especially area for washing/toilet shower is spotless always cleaned 🧼. Hot shower with ensuite toilet same time is perfect 🤩
3rd our stayed is actually great i was actually short but worth the stay. Would definitely recommend it. Nothing much to say just book it. Would say respect the rules and respect others campers too.

喜欢 Flat pitches, clean and modern facilities that were checked on often and cleaned daily. Extra toilets for those who weren't showering. Well stocked shop. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Close to all the places we like to visit. Surrounded by woodland and red squirrels!

喜欢 Small site, chilled vibe, largely families, location central to Anglesey, firepits, coffee kiosk in the morning, very clean spacious shower rooms with basin and loo in, plenty of warm water and separate clean loo block, good washing up area undercover, level spacious pitch with EHU and hardstanding area, water and EHU unit very close.

不喜欢 Rubbish piled up by bins.
Only 4 showers, but we were there for 6 nights and rarely had to queue - another block of 4 would be ideal!

If you’ve got a thing for high-action activities, you’ll find yourself with a fair few options. Horse riding can be tracked down in around 20 minutes, but if you’d rather set out to see what’s happening out on the big blue, RIB rides (25 minutes’ drive) and coasteering (15 minutes) are on hand for wildlife spotting and more adrenaline. Things are just as splendid up on the clifftops along the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path (10 minutes) – over the 130 miles, you might pass sea arches, sand dunes and salt marsh, but it's up to you how far you want to go. Stop to rummage through the rockpools at Trearddur Bay beach (15 minutes), and cool off with a dip if you've worked up a sweat on your hike. If you’re feeling like a quieter day, there’s a golf course (15 minutes) for peaceful days of putting, or the Ucheldre Centre (15 minutes) runs arts and crafts events for the creative minded among you.
