Like to spend your time in the countryside without the bother of noise or parties? Settle in at Bryndu Caravan and Camping, family-friendly site where peace and quiet are the two top priorities. Set on a traditional working farm less than five minutes’ drive away from the small Powys village of Llyswen, this mid Wales setting is only 10 minutes' drive away from the edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. It's splendid for outdoorsy breaks: two long-distance walking paths are within 20 minutes of base, and hiking, biking and riding trails through the Beacons are close to hand. There’s fishing on the Wye too where it passes through Llyswen, and canoeing and kayaking along the Wye from the nearby village of Glasbury. That’s a whole lot of activity, so retreat to the site for a little reward… massages are available on site. Evenings can be seen to with a well-timed stay: the site is within easy reach of the Royal Welsh Show, Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, leaving town types, book nerds and anyone moved by agriculture well entertained. As a peaceful site, music isn't allowed and quiet hours are in force after 10pm. There are also dog restrictions on site.

喜欢 The best campsite I’ve ever stayed in ! Lovely welcome, facilities were amazing, very clean toilets and shower area, laundry area and washing up area all immaculate. Pitched were all well kept, lovely flowers around everywhere and great views.

喜欢 Only stayed for one night but we were really impressed with everything about this site. Owners very welcoming, great little shop on site and the facilities block was spotless. Pitches were nicely spaced out too.

喜欢 The shop and wash facilities were first class. The lady who owns the site works extremely hard and runs a tight ship. Everything is well maintained and there are beautiful flowers too. We stayed for two nights. It is close to the Wye river for canoeing and would definitely stay again.

喜欢 Wonderfully clean site, picturesque with beautiful summer flowers adorning the welcome areas on arrival. Lovely pitch plenty of room and pleasant grass area for morning and evening relaxation time.

Friendly and helpful with needing a gas cylinder and also when our vehicle wouldn’t start!!!

Great location for our visit to the Royal Welsh Show! Will certainly be booking again and recommending to others.

Active types who haven’t yet got their fill of adventure should stick around the Brecon Beacons (10 minutes’ drive) a little longer. Once hikes, bikes and rides are truly exhausted, there’s still climbing, caving, canoeing and sailing to try out, all the while keeping eyes glued to the skies (and the ground) for lapwings, red kites and reed warblers. To take in all the spectacular views of the Beacons and the rest of the Mid Wales countryside, make a pitstop in the small market town of Talgarth (10 minutes) on the edge of the national park. This is a starting point for walks up the highest of the Black Mountains, Waun Fach and for hang gliding trips over the park and mountain range. The amphibious should swim along to Llangorse Lake (20 minutes) – it's the largest natural lake in southern Wales, and there’s a whole lot here to keep visitors busy, from kayaking and canoeing, to paddleboarding and windsurfing, to sailing and catch-and-release fishing. Prefer to keep things peaceful? Opt for some quiet time exploring the past with a stop at the National Trust’s Cwmmau Farmhouse (check opening days before visiting) half an hour away, or trek to the other side of the Brecon Beacons for the Brecon Mountain Railway, Blaenavon Ironworks and the Big Pit National Coal Museum.
