With Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) right on its doorstep and the beaches of Cardigan Bay less than half an hour’s drive away, Morben Isaf Caravan Park ought to appeal to those who can never quite make up their mind between hiking holidays and seaside breaks. But the real ace up Morben Isaf’s sleeve is its proximity (a mere five-minute walk) to the Dyfi Wildlife Centre – Cors Dyfi, where you can admire nesting ospreys, as well as a family of beavers. If even that five-minute walk sounds like too much effort, rejoice, for there is a nature reserve inside the park, and you might be able to spot raptors hovering in mid-air from the bird hide. Morben Isaf is five minutes’ drive from the market town of Machynlleth. In addition to pitches with far-reaching views of the Welsh countryside, it has a well-maintained toilet/shower block (including a wetroom for guests with mobility issues), a launderette and a communal fridge freezer. While the kids spend time in the playground (plus an area for ball games, complete with a hoop), the adults can find their moment of Zen, rod in hand, on the banks of the fishing pond. If you're a keen mountain biker, Coed y Brenin (50 minutes) has trails suitable for all levels; and if you are an expert MTB-er, you might want to have a go at the hair-raising tracks at Dyfi Bike Park (10 minutes). The bike-wash facility on site ought to get rid of every speck of dirt on your mudguards.

喜欢 We had a lovely time despite the weather! Facilities are clean and tidy. Little park for the little ones and then a fishing pond which my partner spent most the time there, kept them both happy!
Lovely views and the staff on site were very pleasant. Decent free WiFi for people who want it

不喜欢 Pitch area is quite close to the main road, so could be a little noisy but didnt ruin the stay one bit.

喜欢 The views were amazing, was easy to find, well laid out, outside areas were well kept and well thought out. Loved the bird hide and the dog walks. Immaculate showers and toilets and lovely pond. Easy access to osprey centre next door. Genuinely couldn't fault anything here

However, it was obvious that the booking terms and conditions hadn't been read which led to us having to remind you of a number of behaviour standards. It would appear that your experience is an exception to the majority of feedback that we have received over the last 13 years.

喜欢 Friendly, helpful and very tidy park with a great shower and toilet block. Easy to find and not too far from Machynlleth and Borth. The fishing lake looked nice and had I bought my gear I'd have given it a go, and the Osprey centre next door was excellent. The kids (8 & 10) had a great time riding their bikes around the park and at no time did we feel concerned for their safety.

不喜欢 Pitches are quite close together and the proximity to the main road was quite noisy on Sunday morning due to the number and speed of the passing motorbikes.

After the ospreys of Dyfi Wildlife Centre, get to know the waders and ducks at RSPB Ynys-hir (10 minutes’ drive). With habitats ranging from woodlands and grasslands to saltmarshes and reedbeds, this vast reserve is also home to otters and lizards. Ynys-hir runs a series of activities, including a dawn chorus event and a bug safari. King Arthur’s Labyrinth (15 minutes) spreads underground just outside the town of Corris. A hooded boatman welcomes you on his vessel and takes you sailing on a subterranean river. During this cruise, you learn about Welsh legends featuring dragons (of course…), giants and other mythical creatures. With two beaches, Aberystwyth (25 minutes) is a popular destination in the summer months. When you’re all swum or body-boarded out, take the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway to the top of Constitution Hill for expansive views and a game of miniature golf.
