Canvas and Campfires is a glamping site in the grounds of a 19th-century smallholding just outside the small village of Llanwnnen. It is three miles from the market town of Lampeter, and you can drive to the Cardigan Bay coast in around 15 minutes. Your neighbours on the farm will include a variety of animals, including a small flock of rare-breed badger-faced sheep. You may well also spot some of the local bird life – look out for woodpeckers and goldfinches in the trees and red kites and buzzards overhead. As well as being a wildlife haven, the site is in a dark skies area and faces west for excellent sunsets. The safari tents have been set up in a peaceful meadow with lovely views over the wooded valley below. Each one is furnished with proper beds, comfortable sofas, charging sockets, electric lights and a woodburning stove, and has its own kitchen (including a fridge) and a small bathroom with a sink and flushing toilet. Each tent comes with a private shower, either within the safari tent or located a short walk away within the same field. The site has a small honesty shop selling useful bits and pieces, including marshmallows to toast on your campfire. For other food and drinks, there's a couple of supermarkets in Lampeter along with a range of options for eating out, including restaurants, pubs, cafés and an award-winning ice cream shop. There's also a pub within walking distance, in the village of Llanwnnen.

喜欢 Very clean and well presented. Lots provided, towels, games, local produce in the small shop. In depth instruction on how to use woodfired stove and hot tub. Lovely hosts who let you share their corner of a peaceful valley. Highlight was seeing the animals and logging glow worms

喜欢 Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Accommodation was stunning, the views were fantastic and Dan and Ellie were such lovely people!

Dan let us and our children join him to feed the animals in the morning and it was such a wonderful experience to meet all their pets. It's not a working farm and the animals are very well looked after and the kids were so excited to meet and feed them.

Thank you for such a lovely stay. We'll be back again.

喜欢 Peaceful site set in the countryside, very friendly and lovely for kids to be able to go on the morning animal feeds if you're up before 8am. The little honesty shop is a great touch with games and items you may have forgotten. Even has local bacon and sausages etc.
