Make the most of Ceredigion’s countryside and set your compass to Bryncarnedd Caravan Park, a mile outside of Aberystwyth town centre. It is indeed a splendid spot here on what was once a busy dairy farm, and handily you’ll be well set for getting into town for shops, restaurants and attractions when you want them. These days, this place has been transformed into a peaceful caravan park with holiday lets in the surrounding old farm buildings. Dogs are welcome to join you on the pitches here – there are plenty of places to take them (or yourselves) for a walk on local pathways. Easy access to the local main roads (A44 and A487) means that it’s straightforward to get out and about for the area’s many activities and attractions, be they beaches, birdwatching, bike riding or exploring the area around Devils Bridge (waterfalls and cool bridges included). Back on site, though, there are well-maintained facilities, including a play area, washing-up area, chemical disposal point and modern bathroom block with toilets and showers to rinse off after a full-on day of adventuring.

喜欢 Lovely walk into town if able taxi 6 pounds back as very steep, near road so noisy, top showers were good plenty hot water other showers need replacing, we stayed 2 nights which was enough,would stay there again

喜欢 Close to Aberystwyth , bus stop 5 minutes walk away.

不喜欢 Toilets and showers very basic in temporary building. No disabled facilities. Site scruffy. Lacks any security barriers, there were cars driving in and out all night.

喜欢 Nice quiet site, very attentive site person, nice pitches with good facilities ie toilets and shower block.
Ideally situated for both Aberystwyth 5 mins by car or 15 min walking and to Clarach bay.
I would recommend and would definitely go again.

不喜欢 Ignore the previous reviews regarding the orthodox Jewish people, yes we went during a time there were quite a few, lovely people, no noise etc, kept themselves to themselves, oh to the previous reviewers, Jews are allowed holidays funny enough,

喜欢 Toilet/shower/washing up areas very clean with hand soap and plenty of toilet roll. No WiFi but 4/5G signal is strong.
No reception on arrival but we quickly established where the wardens caravan was and he was very helpful.
We didn’t like our allocated pitch as it was beneath trees and on a slight incline so an alternative was quickly arranged without issue.
The on-site warden was really helpful and provided an extension when our new pitch was slightly out of reach of our 110V lead.
Location of Bryncarnedd was ideal as we needed quick access to Uni accommodation where our 9 yr old son was sited during a cricket festival.

不喜欢 Initial apprehensions from former reviews regarding sharing the site with families from the orthodox Jewish community during our stay were unfounded and we had no issues. All our needs were met and we leave Bryncarnedd with good memories.

喜欢 Easy access to site, tidy lawns and just very pleasant feel to this quiet site Taxi into town £7.00 Warm showers and not far to walk to. Better with no reception just park up at bottom of site. Gentleman around mowing grass whi was very pleasant

Once you’ve got your bearings, you’ll want to get clued up on exactly what’s close by. Aberystwyth (five minutes’ drive) has a castle, cliff railway and the nostalgic Vale of Rheidol Railway, while Borth beach (10 minutes) will sort out swimming, surfing, fishing, sailing and windsurfing fans. For walks surrounded by pleasant coastal scenery, the Ynyslas beach and nature reserve (15 minutes) is a sure bet for that sort of stuff, while the Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre (15 minutes) has plenty of walks or bike trails in a forest setting instead. There's also red kite feeding activities to mix things up a little there. Put your smarts to the test… you’ll find a few things to wrap your head around at the Centre for Alternative Technology (35 minutes). Meanwhile, Corris Craft Centre (35 minutes) will be a test of your artistic skills instead, while the Silver Mountain Experience (20 minutes) has escape rooms and tours around a Victorian mine. And what about King Arthur's Labyrinth (40 minutes), where re-enactments and boat tours bring the legends to life? Handily, with your guide, you shouldn't get too lost inside the Snowdonia mountains…
