喜欢: This for me was a great staging camp for the onward trip to Mull. Good facilities and most pitches looked to have a privacy hedge. Found a delightful waterfall on a walk than ran by the side of the camp

不喜欢: None. Will use Tyndrum again

喜欢: The site was lovely but did not tell us about tv Ariel we needed a long lead to reach box,and needed a very long waste pipe so did not get full service and we paid for it .

喜欢: Ein Platzwechsel war ohne Problem möglich (wir wollten abends in der Sonne sitzen können). Sanitäre Anlagen waren sehr sauber. Die Laundry sah sehr gepflegt aus. Der angrenzende Fluss hat zum spazieren gehen eingeladen. Eignet sich super als Durchreise-Zwischenstopp und hat dafür eine Top Lage!

不喜欢: Tagsüber sehr starker angrenzender Verkehr. Die sanitären Anlagen waren mit einem achtstelligen Code verschlossen, sehr schwer zu merken ... Manche Stellplätze sind sehr schattig.

喜欢: Pretty scenic location. West Highland Way right behind you. Superb shower pressure. Definitely best to get up early. Wide range of pitches, pods, etc.

不喜欢: The site is too congested for the likes of us, who just want to park up and generally be left alone. Plus we were put on pitch 68, which is right next to kids play park. This means they are constantly running past your area!! I did consider asking to change pitches, but since I'd been told they were already full to capacity, there didn't seem much point
Also-
1) No recycling facilities
2) WiFi quite slow(but at least there was some)
3) Road noise bearable, but helicopters seem to use this place as flightpath. Was in toilet block at time. Sounded like 'Red Dawn'!!!
4) Quiet time is at 10pm. But this didn't stop some fish wife behind us, constantly cackling round her bbq till the wee hours!!

We quickly established a plan of action. Get up crack of dawn, use wash facilities, then scarper and don't come back till late evening. But if you are forced to do anything rather than stay at your campsite, it kinda defeats the object.
My advice...if you have a family, it's great. But if you're a couple who want some quiet time, get one of the hot tub pods on the camp perimeter, or just don't bother

喜欢: The pitch was lovely & well spaced in a beautiful setting

不喜欢: I showered at 6am expecting a hit shower. It wasn’t even warm & again late evening and even colder. Disappointing shower block it wasn’t very clean either. I might as well have wild camped and got washed in the stream.

喜欢: Beautiful place to stay the scenery is stunning and the park is lovely and clean the walks are great and it's got 2 railway stations in the village if your a hiker looking for an overnight stay and walk a stretch of the WHW

不喜欢: The facilities could do with expansion or possibly add another toilet / shower block

喜欢: A very warm welcome, attractive pod well equipped as advertised. Pleasant site, quiet at night. All set in a beautiful site with lovely walks to explore with our collie dog. Memories of time spent in Tyndrum and Crianlarich 60 years ago. We tried to visit the old Lady Glenorchy's church, now a cafe, but it was closed. Still, the walk was good with a new cycle route easy to walk, a wee bit harder coming back on the West Highland Way. Staff helpful throughout especially by providing two chairs with arms which helped us to sit outside. The weather was great and the views all around spectacular. The old village of Tyndrum is a good example of the old and the new, somehow retaining a village atmosphere bridging one of the busiest roads in Britain. We had a lovely four day break and if we live long enough, we'll come back and enjoy again.
