喜欢 Very clean and tidy. Well organised. Staff very pleasant. Handy location. Nice ice creams in shop!

不喜欢 No windbreaks or campfires allowed. Only in a tent, site mostly for motorhomes etc. Wifi was buffering alot, but the football was on

喜欢 Great location for visiting Edinburgh and for walks along the coast. Facilities were clean and well kept. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

不喜欢 There was constant mowing/strimming both days I was there so it was not particularly peaceful.

喜欢 Clean and tidy. Close to transport links.
Nice big pitch close to a kitchen area the was available to use.

不喜欢 Only niggle was the fact that the door to the ladies shower/toilet area was always slamming shut when anyone went in and out. Annoying in daytime but was a distraction through the night.

喜欢 This campsite is really great! Very quiet (even tho lots of campervans and tents it wasn’t loud at all). Very nice facilities, some of the best I’ve been to including amazing warm showers!! Great to have a microwave kettle and fridge freezer to use. Nice washing station and bits for dogs. Honestly had a lovely time here, arrived late and was given full instructions incase the reception was closed. The coastal walk is literally ten mins away which is great, and the train station a short drive away for Edinburgh. Also local town Musselburgh is just five mins drive and very lovely. The big Tesco extra only ten mins which is perfect. Honestly a really lovely place. Our electrical cable was not long enough so the handyman gave an extension which is great! Nice reception with a shop area. Dog walk is really nice and longer than expected. We had a large pitch and was plenty of room for our Nissan juke, 6 man tent, table bbq grill camping chairs and board game set up. One of the best things is that to get to the campsite you’re not going round miles and miles and miles of country roads! Just off a 60mp road, and up one tiny bend! Lovely.

不喜欢 Honestly everything was great. Few things below but these are not really related to the rating (which is top stars from me) but more just ‘to know’ and maybe for management to know too. :)

The vending machines in the kitchens are great but for the four nights I was there it was basically empty (one crisp, chocolate and sweet bag, Diet Coke and juice) and 70% of the hot drink / soup options were out. Some more attention to these being filled up would be great, ofc it’s a luxury but it is mentioned as a benefit so would be nice to see it full.

The area is full of bugs lol! And ofc it is camping so totally get it but just a ‘to know’ for other campers as I’ve never been but and covered in beetles so much in all my years of camping lol!

Sometimes the tissues in the bathroom get filled so tightly that they all rip when you pull out - I noticed others have experienced the same as loads were all over the floor.

There may be one but we didn’t see - a map could be helpful as we thought we could get to the beach from the campsite and spent a while going round in circles lol.

The dog walk is lovely but some little lights for later walks would make it nice and special.

All just tips and nothing bad meant by any of this. Genuinely had a lush stay and would come back!
