喜欢 Beautiful location;
Communication via email was accurate and useful (directions, gate code for late arrivals etc);
Friendly welcome from reception staff;
Clean, tidy campsite with useful extras such as wheelbarrows to transport everything from the car.

不喜欢 Hand towel ran out overnight, with no spare stock available.

喜欢 Lovely country park, not enormous but some very nice woodland walks. Regular buses into Edinburgh are about 15 min walk away. Generally quiet and peaceful overnight. Large field. Well organised. Facilities clean. Good showers and toilets. Wifi available at one end of the field. Park gates close at 7pm to the general public but campers are given a code to get in after this time. Lovely (but pricey) store, shops and restaurant within the country park 5 min walk away. Plenty of other shops in Dalkeith High Street, including a Morrisons supermarket.

不喜欢 Would be useful if all the pitches were marked out. Website said there were no 'small' pitches available, so I paid for a 'medium' pitch even though I have a tiny one person tent but when I arrived it was a free for all and I was just asked to not pitch within a certain distance of any other tent. Also cost of car parking was included which as someone who arrived on foot was unnecessary. Maybe a small 'environmental' discount for those who use public transport? Admittedly probably not many of us!

喜欢 Great location, excellent on site facilities, friendly & helpful staff, perfect for my needs

不喜欢 can get noisy with children, large family groups at busy times of the year. It would be great if there was a section of the site for quiet campers

喜欢 I liked the Dalkeith Country Park, the big place for the tent.

不喜欢 There is no electricity on the campsite which I can understand. But It would have been nice if there was a freezer and a fridge so we can cool our groceries an freeze the elements for the coolbox.

喜欢 Friendly staff, the drive up to the camping through the park and the toys that were there for the kids to play with.

不喜欢 The price and what you get for it. We think the price is to high. It is grass and three blocks for toilets and showers which could be cleaner. Nothing special to say about the campsite itself, except that the price suggest it does.
