Are these ducks among the cutest neighbours you might see waddling along at any waterside site in the land? This quacking state of affairs is at family-run Foxhangers Canalside Holidays in Wiltshire, a peaceful place 200 metres from the Kennet & Avon Canal, which flows placidly between Reading and Bristol. Foxhangers is on a 90-acre farm, around a mile from the village of Rowde and three miles from Devizes. Famed south-west destinations including Avebury and Stonehenge, the Georgian city of Bath and Longleat Safari Park are all within easy reach. The farm is next to the canal towpath, an all-weather path for cycling or walking along its flight of 18th-century locks along to Devizes or into the Wiltshire countryside. The canal is also well stocked with fish: angling licences can be bought on site. Foxhangers has showers and toilets in a block around 65 metres from the accommodation fields, as well as a washing-up area and chemical disposal. Gas cylinders are available to buy.

喜欢: Great site, lovley welcome. plenty of space between pitches, toilets, washing up station all clean with plenty of hot water. Ducks and geese by the main farmhouse. Stunning walks along the canal side just a short walk to get to, turn right to walk past all the locks to devises , left to a pub. Would definitely recommend.

不喜欢: Signs to farmhouse are there but still difficult to find when you turn up. Perhaps reposition them ?

喜欢: Great campsite, lovely and clean with everything you need for a great stay. Loved the fact it was so close to the canal for great bike rides to local pubs and the town of Devizes. Really quiet in the evening and relaxed. Owners are lovely and very helpful. Will stay again and highly recommend

不喜欢: The pitch we was given (4) was on a slight gradient so was a slope in the bedroom with the air bed but that I feel could of been setup different to avoid but we weren’t aware until all setup and was to tired to re jig everything around.

喜欢: Toilets and showers were very good with warm water at any time of the day. Drinking water and electrical connection came in handy as well. The area was nice and secluded. Close proximity to the canal and locks.

喜欢: Spacious pitches with water/electricity access per pitch. Can park next to the tent. Quiet. Great access to walks alongside the canal. Lovely that the fruit trees were fruiting while we were there. The toilets/showers/washing up facilities were a little walk away from the tents but nothing too much to put us off. Good range of bins for compost/recycling/landfill. Very clean and well stocked.

喜欢: We enjoyed the spacious pitches with plenty of room for games. Drinking water, as well as electrical hookups, are very well distributed around the perimeter. The duck pond is a nice feature. The showers are hot, albeit very basic. We enjoyed the tranquility of the site. We also liked the closeness to the Kennett and Avon canal, which was directly accessible from the campsite.

不喜欢: This is a back to basics site. The showers and toilets are very basic (but functional) and are located next to the farmhouse - a little walk away from the pitches. This could be a problem if needed at night as the site is pitch black. WiFi coverage was very poor.

喜欢: Lovely little place to stay nice and clean. Pitch was a little bit sloped but still good and having water and electric right next to your tent.we found it on pitchup after reading some of the reviews we were a little sceptical but we both really enjoyed our week and will definitely be back

喜欢: Great location, loved the ducks and swans around the pond. Toilets and showers very clean however they are quite a way from the campsite so for someone with limited mobility it could be an issue.

Wander the canal first of all, for a short stroll along its locks or for the peacefully scenic three-mile walk into the market town of Devizes, home of 29 canal locks and hundreds of historic sites including over 500 listed buildings and an 11th-century Norman castle. History is all around here, such as at the famed and ancient stones of Avebury, 10 miles away, Chippenham and Trowbridge, both within 15 miles, and Lacock Abbey & Cloisters six miles away, used as a location in some of the Harry Potter films. The petting zoo, adventure playground, Georgian stately home and Capability Brown-designed gardens Bowood House & Gardens are seven miles away. A 20-mile drive will take you to the Roman baths, shopping and beaut old buildings of UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath along the River Avon; if you're a literary type, take pride in a trip to the city's Jane Austen Centre to see its museum on the writer and have a sup in its Regency tearoom. Bradford-on-Avon, 10 miles away, also has Georgian houses as well as plenty of independent shops and a handsome riverside walk. Stonehenge and Longleat Safari Park are both 20 miles from the farm.

通用条款

如需投诉，请立即告知接待处。如果您在入住期间未将投诉传达给管理人员，您离开营地后投诉将不予受理。
播放收音机、音乐播放器和电视播放器必须使用低音量。开关车门和车后行李箱时亦需轻声。
管理人员保留拒绝言行不当的宾客入内或终止其入住的权利。款项不予退还。
