On the hunt for a pretty and peaceful base for an Isle of Purbeck break? Bullshorn Camping could well be the place – this small and friendly site has an adults-only setup that’s just the ticket for couples and solo travellers looking to unwind in this gorgeous part of the world. Walkers and cyclists are particularly well served at this Dorset spot, with lots of quiet trails running through the surrounding area and the chance for a seaside stroll on the South West Coast Path close by too. Beaches, historic sights and the many attractions of the Jurassic Coast are all within striking distance too, and getting around should be nice and easy thanks to the bus stop just by the site. Swanage (five minutes’ drive) is your nearest town, with a beach and heritage railway as well as lots of lovely places to eat and shop. Barbecues and campfires are permitted back on site, so you may like to pick up suitable supplies while you’re there – although there is a pub half a mile away if that’s more your scene. The emphasis here is on creating a calm atmosphere for a chilled-out break, so facilities have been kept to just the essentials in the form of smart modern toilets and showers; no noisy bar or anything here.

喜欢 Lovely location, clean toilet & shower facilities, close to beach & Corfe castle.
Appreciated on arrival being advised to move further down the site to keep sheltered from the wind.
During the night some guests were causing a disturbance, this was quickly dealt with and ensured the rest of our trip was as enjoyable as it could be with the weather we had.

Clean but basic facilities . Bus service from 2 minutes walk away.

不喜欢 Very steep slopes, quite difficult to get a level pitch if they are busy. I was on a low area, fine in dry weather, but not good if wet.

喜欢 Lovely peaceful small campsite, can park up wherever you like. The toilets were spotless, cane fault them! And the owners came round to check in which was also great. A little van stopped by in the morning with pastries and sausage rolls which was perfect!

不喜欢 The road is quite noisy in the evenings especially when large lorries or motorbikes go past, saying that it stopped during the night so didn’t keep me awake.
