喜欢 Site is in a nice location with easy access from main routes

不喜欢 We arrived on site to find no one to greet us. Instead an envelope with a map of where to go. On arrival at our “pitch” we were greeted with an odd shaped pitch with just hard standing. We booked electric hook up but there wasn’t any. It appeared that the hook up was in use by our two nearest neighbours but none for our pitch? One of the reasons we chose the site was the lovely picture of the fishing lake….. DONT BE FOOLED! This is an overgrown muddy puddle with no cut pegs to fish from. It looks abandoned and if there is any form of life in it then I certainly wouldn’t want to catch it!
We then fumbled around trying to call a warden however there is no phone signal on site at all so was unable to. Went looking for help but no one to be found. Eventually we decided to just leave having wasted time and money on what should have been a lovely night away. To add insult on departing we noticed that although the booking was with “no gazebo allowed” that most neighbours had them indeed one with a calor gas heater in (it’s a heatwave) ??? Are all the neighbours long term and living there? We certainly wouldn’t be back and would warn others not to be deceived by the lovely pictures.

Someone either ourselves or are wardens are there everyday without fail. We are only a small site so having a full time receptionist is unpractical. Obviously sometimes you have to leave to get shopping etc so this can't be helped and why we leave an envelope out for you.
I have no idea why there wasn't anywhere for you to plug in, we will look into that.
The lake is beautiful but as I'm sure you're aware we have had a heatwave for aslong as I can remember now and water levels have dropped massively. It is fed by a small stream which for the first time ever has also dried up so we cannot top it up. I can assure you however there are plenty of beautiful fish in there being caught all the time. The lake is only small and free to use for campers, it doesnt get used enough to have pegs - and we have never had any complaints before, everyone will just fish from any point they fancy.

We have no long term foreign residents so not sure why you say that, we do have seasonal pitches yes (also none of them are foreign residents).

喜欢 Only stayed for one night on our way down to Newquay, but it was a great stopover.
Very friendly and attentive hosts.Helpful information for finding our pitch.
Easy-to-follow one-way system.
Shower and toilet block was spotless and lovely and warm.
Good access and a pleasant, well-organised site.

不喜欢 Nothing to dislike from our short one-night stay — everything was just as we needed it to be

喜欢 The site was incredibly clean. The bathroom and toilets cleaned throughout the day.
The washing up area was immaculate whenever we used it.
Staff on site were super friendly and helpful.
The site was very quiet for camping, on the week we came it was mostly caravans it seems so that was great for us.
Washing machine and dryer were great to have and very reasonably priced.

Local Shop 5 mins away that has a good stock of essentials.

Very central location so not too hard to get to anywhere. Devon coasts north and south both about 40 mins away and can be in Cornwall in about an hour.

We had a really great 9 days here and will certainly return. Thank you

不喜欢 No warden met us or saw a warden for the night we were there. Booked a fully service pitch but pitch had no grey water point.

来自经理: Hi, we do apologise, we were on site, we had new wardens start on the day of your stay to prevent this happening again! We must have been busy sorting everything.
Im not sure how you would have booked a fully serviced pitch as we dont offer them? All electric pitches have a water and electric supply, but none with grey waste

Could never find them if we wanted anything… ie help with finding correct pitch

喜欢 Our second visit to this site. Very clean facilities and peaceful. Just the odd vehicle going along the B road can be heard but didn't disrupt our sleep.

喜欢 Toilet and shower block was incredibly clean with great facilities.
The site was basically empty which only added to our stay.

不喜欢 The only dislike we could possibly mention was the amount of bugs and mosquitos but that felt like the time of year and location near a lake being the main issue.
