Off to Devon for a break that combines countryside and coast – and maybe a little bit of city time too? Pick a spot at Teign Valley Campsite, a pop-up site at a former golf course on the banks of the River Teign itself. With plenty of open space, fabulous valley views and just simple facilities (toilets, showers and an outdoor washing-up area in the old clubhouse), this is a splendid place for a quiet rural break. Roomy pitches are tucked away among mature trees with plenty of space for your awning, gazebo and camping chairs, and you’ll be allowed to get a blaze going in your firepit for a bit of evening warmth; logs are available to buy on site to save you hauling a stack over here. Kids and dogs are very welcome here, and should find plenty of space to scamper about within the 100 acres of surrounding parkland; just bear in mind that dogs should be kept on leads around the site and when near livestock. Being right by the river, you can also just take a stroll to the water’s edge for a paddle if you like. This is a great spot for a break packed with variety – it’s right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park for walking, climbing and other outdoor activities, and about half an hour’s drive to the coast or to Exeter city centre. Closer to home, a pub is about half a mile away and you can pick up supplies at the supermarkets in Chudleigh (10 minutes’ drive) or Bovey Tracey (15 minutes).

喜欢 We arrived right at the very end of the season so hard to have a full picture of this pop up venue but it was ideal for our one night adventure.
The facilities were really good, we were left alone and it was very peaceful.

不喜欢 As it was the end of the season it was quiet and therefore lacked atmosphere and the location is only accessible by car so no opportunity to explore other than on the main road which is not ideal.

喜欢 Spacious, fairly level and well maintained. We had a good stay.
Good 4g signal.

不喜欢 Toilet block a bit far and showers were cold late in the evening and the floor on the ladies flooded. Toilet roll not always available in toilets.

喜欢 Location was so peaceful and pretty with lovely walks. Quiet site very respectful. Showers and toilets very clean and showers lovely and warm.

喜欢 Lots of space. Clean. Friendly staff. Great location.

不喜欢 One of the showers wouldn’t get warm. Bins could have been more obvious.

喜欢 The space on the golf course, but would not stay here again. It's not really a campsite its just a golf course. And it wasn't very clean.

不喜欢 Having to walk 10 mins to the toilets, and there being no water taps on site other than in the clubhouse which was where the toilets were.

喜欢 Gorgeous surroundings! Big pitches and lovely and quiet. Good facilities and hot water in the ladies showers!

不喜欢 Mens showers only had cold water for some reason?
Toilets weren't cleaned very often. We stayed 3 nights and there were the same marks on the toilets throughout our stay.
The showers flooded the whole changing area if both had been used.

喜欢 Lovely location and very spacious pitches!
Lovely hosts and would do anything if you needed them

不喜欢 We were coming to the end of the pop up season so I do feel the facilities felt a bit neglected - the showers were flooding and toilets some days didn’t have toilet roll.
They also offered tea and coffee in the mornings but were out of a lot of things but they were very apologetic for this.

喜欢 Beautiful setting/location.
Shower in ladies lovely and warm and strong pressure, bit of a walk to the toilets so bear in mind but didn’t affect us. Ladies change rooms big and comfy, not cold. Toilets clean.
Lovely place and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, could have fire safely and enjoy the nature.
Lovely apple trees, really was a beautiful place. So much space. Trees just gorgeous!
No WiFi bliss!!!

不喜欢 Very rude camper next to us with a generator running until midnight.

Showers in mens were cold and not ideal if you have children-need better facilities like shower curtains/doors for privacy

Shame the pastries etc weren’t available when advertised.
