A family-run touring caravan and campsite located about 500 meters from the centre of the historic fishing village of Porthleven, Mill Lane Campsite is a dog-friendly spot with generous-sized, level pitches and plenty of space for all the family. The campsite is a five-minute walk from Porthleven beach, famous as one of Cornwall’s best reef breaks (are you listening, surfers?). It’s also five minutes to the South West Coast Path, making this a great base for long-distance hikers too. Porthleven village hosts the award-winning Food Festival in July, but you can eat in quirky cafes, traditional pubs or fine-dining restaurants – all serving fresh, seasonal food – any time of year. Pick up foodie supplies in the local shops – including delicious Cornish pasties – and there’s a handy supermarket too. And there’s no need to fret about keeping everyone entertained in the evenings. The on-site free house sells the world-famous Cornish ale Spingo, brewed in Helston (10 minutes’ drive), so adults are never far away from a refreshment. For the kids, there’s a pool table in the pub, as well as sport on the big screen and live music throughout the year. Bingo fans can play every Friday evening at 7pm with cash prizes.

喜欢 A great campsite, level fully serviced hardstanding pitches, great for the motorhome, clean & tidy, close to Out of the Blue pub, staff very friendly, have been coming here for several years, very close to all amenities, shops pubs, restaurants, food market beaches and picturesque harbour. A great walk on coastal route from Porthleven to Praa Sands, we usually get the bus back, frequent bus service to Helston & Penzance. National Trust Penrose walk, great for cyclists, beautiful walks around memorial lake into Helston.

喜欢 Nice flat pitch close to facilities. Lovely location, 5 minutes from harbour and shops. Very quiet and peaceful. Staff very friendly and helpful. The clubhouse was an added bonus, very cosy, comfy chairs and a roaring fire. Only stayed one night but would stay longer next time as there is a lot to do. Bus stop right outside. We walked to the fish and chip shop and ate them on the harbour, had a nice stroll, browsed the shops, finished with a beer in the pub. In the evening had a great time playing bingo in the clubhouse where everyone was very welcoming. The shower and toilet block was clean and tidy. Shower cubicles roomy with hangers and shelves. Two shower heads, body height and big rainfall head. Very quiet at night, enjoyed our stay very much.

不喜欢 Departure time 10a.m. Would of liked it a bit later, slept so well, didn't want to get up!

喜欢 Lovely site close to the village, great. for walking the coast path, there's not really anything not to like about this site.
Both times we've visited which was about a year apart we saw Cornish Choughs on our walk.
Some great pubs and food places.

喜欢 Been to the site a couple of times now, the location is excellent, the site is quiet, has amazing showers that are cleaned daily and you couldn't ask for more.

喜欢 Close to town centre. Easy to find and easy check in. Showers lovely and hot with good water pressure. Proper cubicles - no grotty shower curtains! Toilets clean and well stocked with loo roll. Lovely vanity area with plug sockets for hairdryer/hairstyling

不喜欢 No hot water at washing up station. No recycling bins. Shower/toilets a little dated but clean and well stocked.

If you’re keen to get out on the water, Porthleven beach (five minutes’ walk) is a fantastic surfing spot, and you can take coastal cruises (try one at dusk for spectacular sunset views) or sea-fishing trips from Porthleven harbour (10 minutes). Meanwhile, at Marazion (15 minutes’ drive) it’s a short hop across the bay to the crag-top castle and gardens at Mount St Michael. Also nearby you could take a ride on the vintage trains of Helston Railway (10 minutes), or splash in the sea at sheltered Gunwalloe Church Cove Beach (20 minutes). There are plenty of family-friendly hikes along the Lizard Heritage Coast (both 20 minutes) and lots of seabirds to spot along the way. And there’s masses of art and culture in these parts too; the galleries and museums of St Ives (30 minutes) warrant a day’s attention, and there are rare plants and wacky artworks to be seen in Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens (20 minutes).
