Looking towards the Cornish coast with the idea of catching your first (or umpteenth) wave? Crossing the cliffsides along the coastal path? Or perhaps cycling into the countryside? Well, the coast is your oyster from Port Isaac Pop-up Camping, as well as the surrounding Bodmin countryside. A five-minute drive from Port Isaac, a scenic traditional fishing village, you'll be well-situated for getting a little salty with dips in the sea, sweating it out on the South West Coast Path five minutes’ drive away or digging into (salty, if you please) fish and chips in one of the town’s seaside restaurants. The site is part of 20 acres of the Cornish countryside, so things are pretty peaceful on the site. There are simple facilities including a portable toilet and hot showers available free of charge, so you'll have all the more time to take in the splendid views or perhaps chill out with a barbecue. Leave the car behind and set out on foot – there’s a farm shop and restaurant with yummy local produce 15 minutes’ walk away. And in the opposite direction, 20 minutes’ walk away, the local dog-friendly pub also whips up meals from locally-sourced food products. If you’re looking for a takeaway, more pubs or somewhere else to eat out, there are plenty more places within five minutes’ drive of the site too (and a food shop in Port Isaac where you can add to your food supplies).

喜欢: The convenience of easy booking through Pitchup. The location for walking into Port Isaac was fairly good, although all by road. Free to set up wherever you like. Small site, so never too far from the toilet!

不喜欢: Very basic facilities, the toilet had no sink to wash hands. Only one toilet, so could be problematic if the site is busy.

喜欢: Flexible booking. Perfect pop up facility with flushing toilet, hot showers and sink to wash up and facilities were very clean. Idyllic setting over looking the Cornish countryside. Very quiet location. Highly recommend

不喜欢: Nothing to dislike ( unsure as to why there is an additional charge for dog(s) but it didn’t ruin the stay)

喜欢: Large field, pitch where you like, (needed levelers) Good hot showers with plenty of room inside to change. Basics provided. No one to bother you. Fine for 1 night for us who don't like big busy sites.

不喜欢: Bit expensive at £20 for something so basic

喜欢: We really enjoyed the camping. Stunning views across the fields.

不喜欢: The only thing I disliked was that the grass on camping side of the field was really long so my feet and bottom of my clothes were wet constantly and could never dry out. It also caused a problem for picking up dog poo.

喜欢: Loved the location, we followed the footpath from the campsite to Port Isaac and got the bus back. We also walked to St Kew Inn, lovely pub. Food looked great, they were fully booked so recommend booking in advance. The campsite is just a field with fabulous views across the countryside. There is a proper plumbed toilet, a couple of showers with lovely warm water and an outside washing up point that has the water tap beside it. It’s simple but we loved it.

不喜欢: The only thing that would improve it is to have a sink in the toilet. There is sanitiser gel but I walked up to the washing up point to wash my hands with water and soap.
