Small but perfectly formed, The Laurels Holiday Park offers manicured grassy pitches surrounded by pretty greenery and flowers to give guests a bit of extra privacy. The essential facilities at this Cornwall site, two miles from Wadebridge, are impeccably maintained: there’s free hot water in the washing-up area and showers, plus hairdryers, a washing machine and freezing for ice packs. There’s even a special area for washing and drying wetsuits – it gets regular use given the excellent surfing and watersports nearby… Barbecues and campfires are a fab idea in a place like this, and the folk on site have made such things simple: there are firepits available to hire (only a limited number though, so booking's essential) and there's a stock of logs, kindling, firelighters and flo gas on sale too. Pint-sized visitors can mess about on the boat in the playground, which is well-equipped with climbing frames, swings and a large trampoline, plus a space for ball games. The site is also Fido-friendly, with a small enclosed area to dogs to do their business off lead.

喜欢: A lovely little park, the grounds were maintained well nice and clean. The toilet and shower block was very clean, nice hot showers and hairdryer to use. Washing up area inside and outside all immaculate. With washing machines and dryers. This is a very nice park not far out from Padstow. Everyone was friendly a member of staff asked if we were all ok. I’d definitely stay here again.

喜欢: Really nice quiet site, super clean, friendly family run business. To offer Free WiFi was great but not amazing so just didn’t use it.

不喜欢: 1 singular little minus for me was when showering in the evenings the lights in the shower rooms timed out quickly, so I had to open the shower door and poke my head out to get the lights to come on again in the dark as movement in the shower cubicle didn’t help.

喜欢: Brilliant site - friendly but non-intrusive staff, clean toilets and amenities, and just lovely all round. Really appreciated the fenced area for dogs to run around in - such a perfect touch. We'll definitely be back!

不喜欢: Not so much as a dislike but some tents where a little close to each other so loud snores could be heard.

喜欢: The site was wonderful and we loved the privacy of each pitch. Peaceful site due to its size. Immaculately clean at all times in the toilet and washing area and the staff were constantly tidying things on the site. Brilliant location for so many of the local attractions too. 当地景点

The Laurels is three miles from the riverside market town of Wadebridge (the bus stops right outside the site), where guests will find good eating and shopping. A little further up the road (six miles or so) is Padstow, which has TV chef Rick Stein’s famously fabulous seafood restaurants and cookery school as well as some fine surfing beaches. Boardmasters can also find ripping fun at Polzeath (20 minutes' drive), and the world-famous waves of Newquay are only 15 miles away. Fans of the Doc Martin TV series should visit the fishing village of Port Isaac (25 minutes) to see the doc’s cottage and many other pretty 'Portwenn' locations. This being Cornwall, there are oodles of interesting things to see and do – too many to list here, but to start you off: it’s only a 35-minute drive to the legendary Tintagel Castle, half an hour to the fascinating biospheres of the Eden Project, or 35 minutes to the fishing village of Boscastle. Guests could also make a day trip to Lands End (perhaps combined with a walk around the attractive harbour town of Penzance), to the National Maritime Museum and dockyards at Falmouth, or to St. Ives, to explore the colourful harbour and art deco splendour of the Tate Gallery.
