Right on the border between Cornwall and Devon, and 15 minutes’ drive from the Tamar Bridge, adults-only Ashdon Farm Certificated Location is open to members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club. The south-facing touring pitches sit on an acre of land with uninterrupted views over a 100-acre sheep farm – the grass is closely mown and electric hook-ups are available.
A short walk through the fields reveals four wildlife ponds, a woodland and plenty of wildflowers and shrubs – take time to watch out for woodpeckers and kingfishers as you explore. If you have dogs, they can have a good nose around, but please keep them under control around the native fauna and livestock.
Looking for places to eat? There are several traditional country pubs within 10 minutes’ drive, all open seven days a week. You can also stock up on essentials at shops and supermarkets in Callington (five minutes’ drive), which has several takeaways that will deliver straight to your pitch too.
