Long days lounging among scenic and spacious Cornish surroundings and easy access to both north and south Cornwall are offered up at St Day Tourist Park, a small and peaceful place in the rural setting of old Cornish mines a couple of miles from Redruth. St Day's centrally located setting has it five minutes from St Day village and niftily placed between north and south Cornwall to use as a base to get to both; Falmouth on the south coast and Portreath on the north are both within 15 minutes' drive. (If you'd rather get around by bus, regular services to Redruth and Truro run from the village.) Amenities include a centrally set and immaculately kept modern shower block with toilets, basins and free hot water; also on hand are a launderette with washing machine, dryer, tumble dryer and ironing facilities, and water points, chemical waste disposal and washing-up facilities handily set near the shower block. Wifi is available on site for an extra fee. St Day village, five minutes' walk away, has a supermarket, a newsagent and a pub serving fish and chip takeaways as well as meals to eat in. Dogs are welcome at the park, but must be exercised off site and kept on leads at all times when back at base.

喜欢 Easy to find and easy access off road,
Pitch was clean but not as level as we might have hoped, ok for caravans but not so easy for motorhomes
Modern toilet block, lots of hot water for washing up

不喜欢 Possibly because it was near end of season there didnt seem to be much shower cleaning. We were told that hire car should be left in the car park but this was not complied with by all residents.
Didnt seem to be a lot of info about the local village

喜欢 We stayed here for 2 one night stays either side of the weekend. Lovey site and really helpful and friendly staff.
We came down for a festival so didnt explore the area but it seems very central to beaches and other areas.
Very quiet which is exactly what we wanted, will definitely rebook.

喜欢 The site was easy to find, we checked in ahead of arrival by phone as we were going to be late. Were told our pitch number and we got set up, hassle free.

The site lay out for tents and campers is great, clean, tidy, plenty of room and easy access for all to the shower blocks. Took the dogs off site for a walk just up the road each morning and night and that was all very pleasant also.
Everything was immaculate, peaceful and welcoming. We’d definitely recommend!

喜欢 Pitches were a good size and screened from other pitches by bushes. Toilet block was clean and modern and it was useful to be able to use the washing machine available. The member of staff that greeted us was very friendly and welcoming. Even though it was mid August and the site was quite busy, it felt nice and peaceful.

喜欢 We had a lovely stay here. The site was clean, showers and toilets maintained daily and kept to a high standard. Lovely little play area for the kids swings & slide climbing frame etc. in our group it was 2 couples and 1 family with children. They pitched us all together which was great. Staff really friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

St Day Tourist Park's central location means it's within easy driving distance of most of Cornwall's well-known spots, like Truro, Falmouth and St Ives 10, 15 and 20 minutes away, the spectacular scenery of Land's End within 50 minutes, and beaches and surfing all around. Portreath and Porthtowan are the two closest beaches, about 10 minutes' drive to the north and with good surfing, kayaking and a café each. Ramble between them for a scenic up and down hike via the South West Coast Path, going on to St Agnes or Godrevy from Portreath if your legs can take it. A leisure centre, fishing, golf, horse riding, flea market, surfing, spectacularly scenic walks and views are all within easy reach of the site, as well as the remnants of Cornwall's mining history at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of St Agnes (15 minutes). From Porthtowan, hike along the three and a half miles to Chapel Point, via the old engine house at Wheal Coates.
