There’ll be plenty of time for monkey business in this family-friendly site… Surrounded by a whopping 56 acres of countryside and a fab place for taking toddlers, Monkey Tree Holiday Park is 10 minutes from Perranporth and its huge open beach, as well as the lively surf centre of Newquay. As you might already (luckily) know, the north coast of Cornwall is tiptop for beaches – Newquay's famed for its world-class waves and heady nightlife, while Perranporth has kayaking and hovercrafting to get adventurously stuck into, and top-notch coastal walks on either side of the beach. Back at base, catch a few pages of your book while the kids splash about in the outdoor heated pool complex… or while they join in with the packed entertainment schedule for juniors (there's a talented in-house entertainment team on hand with a daily kids' club and Funky Monkey putting in a regular appearance). On top of that, a maze of net walkways, slides and ball pools means that younger guests will have plenty to keep them entertained, whatever the weather. Food's sorted with the on-site clubhouse and restaurant, and fish and chip takeaway (fish and chips + seaside = essential). Or fire up the barbecue instead: hit up the camp store for the essentials, or head to the grocery store 10 minutes away.

Great venue with amazing facilities. The grounds were clean and well kept with beautiful touches scattered around. The colourful plants clearly well tended to be in such condition at this point in the season. Our 3 boys loved the football pitch and we enjoyed the cider!

不喜欢 Honestly would have been amazing if we could take the dog round the pool

喜欢 Staff were very friendly, happy and helpful

Facilities were great

Everywhere was kept very clean

Flowers and plants were beautiful and very well looked after

Toliet blocked regularly cleaned and stocked

Only went to see the entertainmmet on one evening, which was the magician. He was fantastic and very entertaining.

Arcades had a good variety of machines

不喜欢 We thought breakfast was available from 8.30am to 11am in the club house but when we arrived at 9.40am we were told we could only get a takeaway breakfast from the supermarket.
We also went to eat on one evening at camp. We were hoping to get pizza but that was closed just after 8pm, so we went to the club house and couldn't see anyone eating or any menus or times for serving, so assumed it was closed and then a while later saw other people eating. We just managed to order something on time.
It would be nice if it was clearer where we can eat and at what times during our stay.

喜欢 Had a lovely stay at monkey tree holiday park. Very clean organised site. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Facilities are very clean and great to use. Entertainment was brilliant really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend and come back.

喜欢 The whole park is fantastic couldn’t ask for more. We only did 3 nights but you could easily spend a week just on sight. The location is perfect 10 mins of Perranporth, and Newquay I would most definitely stay here again.

不喜欢 The fact entertainment goes on til midnight and people who think it’s ok to shout their heads off as they make their way back to their pitch.

Cornwall’s coastline and beaches are pretty much legendary, but Newquay (10 minutes) is world-famed for its surf and nightlife too. It’s a party town from daybreak until well after dark and the surf's so good they hold international competitions here – check out Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay. Perranporth (10 minutes) is the place to head for a more relaxed beach day, though it’s very popular so best to get your towel down early. The beach here is a fab spot for dog walking, rolling up the trousers for a paddle or lazing around and copping a look at the views. The Eden Project (35 minutes) has the UK’s most realistic rainforest, full of rare plant species and exotic butterflies, as well as a pretty nifty Mediterranean biome. Daredevils can also have a go on England’s longest zipwires – or head over to Flambards in Helston (45 minutes) for flumes, rollercoasters and go karting.
