'The best of Cornwall at your fingertips' is how the Penwarne Campsite team describe their patch. A description that you'd be hard-pressed to quibble with given its stunning sea views, easy access to Falmouth and area of outstanding natural beauty location. Penwarne Campsite makes a credible claim to being one of the oldest in all of Cornwall, having welcomed guests here since the 1920s. The site grounds have been worked by the Mann family since 1886, so your hosts are long-standing locals with lots of insider tips about the surrounding area. Although the farm is located inland, Maenporth beach is a mile and a half away and can be directly accessed via a well-maintained footpath. Walks in local woodlands are also within easy reach, and when it's time for a pint you're also just a mile from Mawnan Smith's village pub. On-site facilities are another of Penwarne Campsite's strong points: guests have a play area, toilet block and shower. Well-behaved dogs are allowed here too, and you're more than welcome to set up a barbecue and campfire (as long as a few simple safety rules are followed, of course).

喜欢 We had a great weekend here!
Amazing sea views and a brilliant location for exploring the surrounding area. When we arrived we tried both contact numbers but couldn’t get an answer, so we just found ourselves a pitch, which was absolutely fine.
We had a huge amount of space with our pitch, which was brilliant. There are animals and a play park for the kids and a great little café on site that does a fabulous breakfast.
Really relaxed, great value

不喜欢 Just a little general maintenance needed around the toilet facilities , and we weren’t able to get hold of anyone when we arrived, but neither affected our stay.

喜欢 Lovely calm site lovely views animals on site were a bonus. The pitches were clearly marked out and no one was too close to each other.it was pick your own pitch again we loved that and nothing formal. It was a nice relaxed site lovely views

喜欢 Open space and animals and play park for the kids. Cafe on site if wanted and relaxed atmosphere. Very central to Falmouth only a short drive away. Beautiful sea views. Price is great and lower than a lot of sites during peak travel times. Laundrette facilities on site along with decent toilets and showers. Large camping pitches.

喜欢 Gezellige camping. Prachtig uitzicht op zee vanaf alle plekken op de camping. Mooie ruime plekken. Goed cafe. Leuke dieren op de camping. Mooie speelplek voor de kinderen.

不喜欢 Er komt koud water uit de kranen bij het afwassen, er staan waterkokers bij. Je kunt dus een warm sopje maken met behulp van het kokende water. Het water bij de douches is lekker warm maar je moet wel ontzettend vaak het knopje indrukken omdat hij maar heel kort water geeft, maar op zich niet heel storend.

It's a pretty place, is Penwarne. Located in a coastal area of outstanding natural beauty, this site has plenty of choice for excursions around and about. Sticking locally, you might like to sail by ferry over the Helford (five minutes' drive) for trips to secluded spots like Bosahan Cove, or to stay on the north bank of the river to survey the seasonal blooms at Trebah Garden (also five minutes). Green-fingered guests have lots more foliage to take in around this part of the coast – there's Glendurgan Garden (five minutes) next to the South West Coast Path and the jungle-like oasis at Penjerrick (five minutes), both of which can be comfortably reached on foot from base if you fancy a stretch of the legs. Of course, peaceful days homing in on all that horticulture might not be the best of bets if you've got kids to entertain. Handily, this part of Cornwall is also full of family-friendly attractions like Lappa Valley's steam railway (45 minutes), which can be easily interspersed with the calm and quiet of Kynance Cove (40 minutes) or ice creams on Falmouth seafront (15 minutes).
