Find your new happy place at Creative Camping, an aptly named campsite close to the West Sussex coastline. Located midway between Selsey on the coast and the historic city of Chichester, this laidback spot is a top pick for families and friends looking for a getaway somewhere just that little bit different. As well as the well-maintained pitches and green outdoor area, Creative Camping has a spacious indoor area for guests to enjoy. Come and relax on the indoor 'beach', sit back on one of the comfy chairs, let the kids play in the sandpit or take your pick of the games and books on offer. The indoor space also has a lounge and dining area, a kitchen with sinks, two toilets, two showers, a changing room and a baby changing table. When you spend time outside, you'll appreciate the site's quiet location away from the road and the natural feel of the place – sit back and relax and it's quite likely that you'll see birds of prey flying overhead. Dogs are welcome here and there's easy access to footpaths in the local area for their walks. The sensible use of open fires and barbecues is allowed, and guests can make use of the site's big barbecue and pizza oven. Handily, Sidlesham village centre, where there is a pub, is about a quarter of a mile away to the north.

喜欢 Everything! This site is excellent value for money with so much for children to do at no extra cost. The only thing I would say is that a bigger or additional fridge would be helpful.

喜欢 Gary welcomed us on site, he was very friendly and attentive. The pitch was a good size and the facilities were clean. We only stayed onsite for one night but it was a good experience, thank you Kym and Gary.

喜欢 Perfect place for me and my teenager and toddler they were both entertained and loved our stay. This site had everything we could need and more. Felt safe and secure so kids could have the freedom to go off and play and still be seen. Other guests were lovely and friendly and staff were happy to help. Also a nice walk and big field close by to walk the dog. We loved it and hope to visit again. Thank you

喜欢 It was very family and dog friendly. Kym and Gary were lovely and we had a great time with our young family.
The kids loved all the toys. Made friends and the dog was happy and the walk behind was perfect for a quick run around!

喜欢 Creative is a site with heart, everything about it shows real thought and attention to detail. The owners have stamped a lovely personal touch all over.
We had mechanical problems when we arrived and the owners were extremely helpful and were able to get us parked despite our lack of power. Good facilities, indoor beach was a nice touch as were the communal space. Our 11 yo was introduced to another child by the owner who was staying there when she arrived and they ended up hitting it off and playing all night. There are loads of outdoor toys around and kids were quite naturally hanging out, really nice.

There are all sorts of coastal corners you'll want to explore while in West Sussex, from the wildlife haven wetlands of RSPB Pagham Harbour (five minutes' drive) to the cheerful seafront at Selsey (10 minutes) or the sandy stretches of West Wittering (15 minutes). Slightly further afield, it's easy to get to other maritime spots, whether you fancy a day trip to the seaside resort and pleasure harbour at Littlehampton (30 minutes) or want to walk around the historic dockyards of Portsmouth (30 minutes). Jaunts to the bright lights and vintage shops of Brighton (an hour and 10 minutes) are also on the cards if you fancy a really special day out. There's also much to see and do inland locally, with many of the prettiest parts of the South Downs National Park just a short drive away. While you're in the area, make sure to check out pretty historic country estates like Arundel Castle (25 minutes), and if ancient history's your thing you can make tracks for the mosaics and columns of Fishbourne Roman Palace (15 minutes).
