Orchard Cottage Campsite

喜欢: This is an awesome campsite with beautiful views and as near wild camping as it gets. Loo/shower block is very clean and perfect for what you need. Owner is a great bloke who made time to say hello and have a chat. Firewood and firepits are good.

喜欢: Quiet calm campsite very basic but in good location for goodwood and a walk in the woods. Only one shower but worked well be good if hooks can be hung on back of door. Good to have use of fire pit and be able to hire logs from site. Owner very friendly.

不喜欢: No where to put rubbish so had to take it with us and found bins in town. Be good if well behaved dogs could stay as my dog would have loved the walks and would stay on lead.

喜欢: The stars were amazing to see in this dark skies reserve. The decent fire pit/bbq’s the owner had kindly made for campers to borrow. The grounds were fenced off and no cars around, so safe for kids. The trees provided shelter from the rain for a couple of hours so no gazebo needed. Friendly laidback owner allowed us to light our fires and left us to it without forcing us to put them out at his bed time! The sheep in the field beside us were entertainment for the kids as well.

喜欢: Really pleased! Perfect location for Goodwood events. Plenty of room to pitch. Happy with the facilities toilets, sinks and showers. Even toilet paper.

不喜欢: Sink area maybe a little unclean. Not necessarily the owners fault. More so the people that use them not leaving sinks clean etc.

喜欢: Location is good for the Goodwood Festival of Speed, provided you're happy to drive in to the venue (a bit too far to walk). Site isn't too busy and there was plenty of space. Friendly owner. Both permits and provides campfires, and has wood for sale on site (cheaper than petrol station). Facilities were fine, though you might have to wait a bit. As the listing mentions, it does indeed get nice and dark at night (take a head torch). I've stayed in the Goodwood campsite a number of times and I would absolutely recommend this place as an alternative.

不喜欢: There was nothing I disliked, however I think it's fair to warn that it's not a full-time campsite, and as such it's less formal than your typical camping and caravan club site (for example). As an experienced camper I find this a benefit, but first timers might find it a bot odd. Also, not the fault of the site but phone signal in the general area isn't great.

喜欢: This campsite was chosen for it's location and it is very close to Goodwood for the FOS. Across the crossroads and a few miles down the road and we were in. The host was very responsive by text (I believe I could have called if needs be) to confirm actual location. On arrival the host was very accommodating and we pitched with two tents. The site was quite considering it was fairly close to the main road. The shower was warm. logs were available for purchase and a log burners were available

不喜欢: Male and female separate toilets would be ideal.
