Wheatfields Luxury Glamping has two large Safari tents/lodges sleeping up to 8 people in 3/4 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms on a family run farm in an area of outstanding natural beauty near the little village of Appledore, and with easy access to Rye and Camber Sands – both of which are within 10 minutes’ drive. Accommodation here is in contemporary and spacious safari tents that welcome families, friends and dogs. A bathroom is attached to the back of each tent, with a hot shower, flushing toilet and complimentary towels and shower gel. The tents have comfy beds with thick duvets in natural linen and thick wool blankets. Each tent has a woodburning stove with small oven. The kitchen s are fully equipped with everything you need plus basic cooking essentials complete with gas hob and fridge. Large dining tables to seat all guests for sociable dining. The tents are spaced a generous 50 meters apart and have large deck areas and there’s plenty of space around each tent with grass maze and babmington pitch. Guests are welcome to take a wander round the family-run farm to see the old pond and catch the sunset from the front deck. There’s abundant wildlife all around, and the lack of light pollution means some fab stargazing on a clear night. There are fine views over the ancient cliffs that mark the old Saxon Shoreway – perhaps best taken in while sitting out by the barbecue or large firepit. The site is also on the edge of Romney Marsh and the Isle of Oxney, so that means some fine walks nearby; there are several country pubs in the area for refreshing along the way and more eateries can be found over in Rye.
