喜欢: I loved the location, so peaceful and well looked after. The owners were very helpful and kind. The facilities were good, the toilet was not what you expect when you look at the outside. It’s a proper flushing toilet next to a sink for hands or dish washing. Plenty of different rubbish bins and a chemical toilet emptying place.
There were electric hook ups in one part of the field and just grass parking spaces in the other part of the field. It was quite a small park but it suited us perfectly as we like to be in the countryside with no noise.
There was a lovely walk to the local pub the Purleigh Bell which I can highly recommend.
All in all I would not hesitate to return.

不喜欢: Nothing really. As advertised this is a small site with basic but clean facilities on a somewhat noisy road which is quiet at night.

来自经理: Many thanks for the feedback. So just to confirm, you have given location as 6/10, value 8/10, accommodation 6/10, cleanliness 8/10, and an overall rating as 2/10. Surely, there is a consistency issue here? I believe that we gave you the option of a site on the front field and in the back, further from the lane, but you chose the front field and then raise road noise? You mention there not being a shower, yet this is highlighted very clearly in the pitch up website wording, photographs and throughout the reviews. If I am honest, I feel as though I have been penalised by someone else's lack of competence, with such a low rating.

喜欢: Basic site, but suited all our needs for an overnight stay. Has access to some beautiful walks. Owners easy to get hold of. Easy to find and access is easy too

Meal and hospitality at Pub was second to none.
Met Anthony he was kind and helpful. Just what we needed for a simple pit stop in a safe place.

不喜欢: Simple outside wash station too tall.

喜欢: We received good communication from the owners, who also allowed on-site early which was great too and on our hardstanding pitch the electrics cable had been set up for us, presumably due to the distance of the electrics themselves.

If you enjoy walking, this site is in a great location with plenty of circular walks around the local area. You can get a map from the Purleigh Bell pub which is only a short walk away from the site (and does good food and drink).

We chose to head into Maldon which was a pleasant 90-minute walk into the town centre where there are lots of great pubs.

不喜欢: The toilet setup is basic and their no hot water - BUT they're functional and having read the reviews before arriving we knew what we were letting ourselves in for.

喜欢: The host couldn't do enough for us . Met us at gate helped carry our bags gave me some wellies lit the hot tub and even offered to drive us to the pub to watch the rugby. Hot tub was amazing. Views to die for and so quite and relaxing
