Hare and Hounds Campsite

喜欢: Camping was gezellig. Goed verzorgd. Schoon sanitair. Dicht bij bushalte en vriendelijke gastvrouw. Bovendien een mooie grote plek voor onze camperbus.

喜欢: Superb site, Harriet was very welcoming. Spotlessly clean facilities! Bonus was the fridge, freezer and microwave for general use plus ice blocks. Bus stop right outside for access to Rye. Good hot showers. Fire pits for hire with kindling and dry logs.

不喜欢: Nothing really. Slight road noise if you camped near the entrance but we didn’t do that was fine! Slightly sloping pitches but ok in campervans with levellers!

喜欢: A warm welcome, local information board, bus stop right outside the site, open and green site that didn't feel crowded even though I think it was full, able to hire a fire pit.

不喜欢: Facilities felt like there were not quite enough for the number of people staying there. Beware of the walk to Rye. At this time of year (May) one field you have to go through has many nettles. We also missed some of the yellow arrows and got completely lost.

喜欢: Lovely and quite, plenty of showers toilets outside kitchen,free WiFi, staff where very helpful, and for those who don't like walking bus stop right outside the camp that goes to rye one way and Hastings the other.

不喜欢: The pub and shops where quite a walk away bus buses helped with that

喜欢: Right next to the bus stop to take you into Rye, which meant we could leave the car behind. Lovely quiet sight with a nice pub a few minutes walk away.

喜欢: Clean, well maintained facilities, which we never had to queue for.
Reasonably flat pitch, which allowed us to use our ramps for the first time
Bus stop into Rye right outside the campsite

不喜欢: not much. Really tall hedge behind our pitch which blocked the sun before sunset, but great morning sum our our pitch.

喜欢: I was greeted by the owner on arrival. Extremely helpful and friendly. Walked me to my pitch. Great site and lots of space this time of the year. I have a very well behaved dog who was allowed to be off the lead which was great. Faculties were very very good.

不喜欢: It was a great site but I was out of season. Pitches were small so I would not have liked to be there high season. That would be my only concern.

喜欢: nice clean tidy site, handy location for bus or walk to Rye. friendly efficient welcome.

不喜欢: some road noise, but not intrusive.
we couldn't use the gray waste disposal point in its location as our van doesnt have a removable tank, and our bucket had decided to give up the ghost.
