Enter the wild side… as part of a family farm attraction, the wild camping site at Sharnfold Farm will swiftly get you back to basics. In other words, you might be barbecuing up some fresh goodies from their farm shop or cradling a morning brew collected from their coffee shop. After that, make your descent into the surrounding 1066 country. The Eastbourne seafront is 15 minutes’ drive away, with its classic Victorian hotels and 19th-century pier. Battle is half an hour’s drive away and Hastings is 40 minutes away too. As well as the farm shop and coffee shop, the Sharnfold Farm site has toilets, fresh water and a children’s play area. There are fishing lakes for those who’d like a session by the water. Kids under 10 might want to take their playtime from the playground onto the farm trail, where they can visit the animals and get stuck into adventures on the trail like playhouses and musical instructions. Unless you’ve already set your sights somewhere on the Eastbourne seafront for dins, there’s also a pub next door for your evening meals.

喜欢: Basic but very pleasant site. Staff friendly on arrival. Access to the farm, shop and cafe is a bonus! I have older children 10 and 13 and they loved the farm. Easy 10 minutes drive down to Eastbourne seafront.

不喜欢: Needs a little TLC in the toilets, just a broom round and dust up that's all.

喜欢: Shops were a quick drive away, pub next door and the farm with the play area and activities was brilliant (and included in the porch price). Also nice to have the cafe (although it doesn’t open until 9 and we had to wait ages for food as so busy). Great to have butchers too but unfortunately the shop doesn’t sell other essentials or food to go with meat for a BBQ. It is perfect for little ones and for the weekend we didn’t need to leave the site except to do a shop. Staff were friendly.

不喜欢: There was only one toilet open most the time and even when everything was open there was only the disabled toilet open in the cafe. This meant waiting ages for the toilet at certain times. I don’t understand why the others were not open. Luckily we had a potty for little ones. There are power lines over the field although could not hear buzzing. Also you can hear quite s busy road nearby - although didn’t wake us at night was very evident in the day.

喜欢: Very little Left after one night

不喜欢: The site was a field adjacent to farm shop and cafe. We were the only people there, and no one was on site after 7pm. Felt very unsafe. When we returned to pack up on Friday afternoon, we were still the only people staying.

喜欢: A nice basic site, not too much noise or light pollution around. Owner was friendly when called to let him know was running late. Easy to find

不喜欢: Toilets could do with a mirror inside and bit of a clean, no hot water But seen far worse

喜欢: The trail and park was good you get that included in your stay lake's were beautiful Staff helpful and freindly

不喜欢: Cafe closed to soon and tolites wernt very clean and one was blocked for 2 days and wernt kept upto hygiene unless we told them And need more lighting around Unless you drive you have to walk 20 mins to the nearest shop
