If you’re looking for a restful adults-only location for a Lancashire camping break close to one of the most famous seaside resorts in the UK, then Norcross may be the very spot for you. Approached by a rural lane, the grass pitches are on a level field sheltered by trees, yet this secluded camping field is just 20 minutes’ drive from the bright lights and mega-attractions of Blackpool. In fact, Norcross is close to lots of places: you can be ordering a pint in the local pub within five minutes’ walk, or carry on to the village of Newton with Scales (10 minutes’ walk) for a basics shop, cash point and post office. Hop in the car and head to the market town of Kirkham (five minutes’ drive) to pick up bits and bobs in the supermarket or bag a takeaway, while a 20-minute drive will see you in Lytham St Annes for beach walks, a Victorian pier and playing golf on a prestigious links course. Amenities on site are straightforward: a couple of loos and recycling facilities, but you can buy fresh eggs for a hearty breakfast fry up, seasonal fruit or veg and plants from the owners’ farm shop – they also run a smallholding with sheep and free-range hens.

喜欢 Well kept caravan pitches, easy to set up water, drainage and electric. Nice wet room. The owners are really nice and friendly and although the electric is metered they don’t rip you off. Very nice and peaceful site.

不喜欢 The site is not very well signed on the main road, though the sign is down the driveway on the gate post, and the entrance to the site is untidy with old machinery and pallets of old stuff around. We do appreciate that they run a nursery business at the entrance but it could be fenced off from the site.

喜欢 Andy & Annie are straight up lovely people. They offer peace & quiet lovely pitches away from the world of providing entertainment they provide blissful fields with livestock ,plants and flowers, farm grocery, eggs and down to earth goodness. Easy to find coming off the motorways. Most of all their kindness I. Will definitely be back for sure 😎👌🙏😎

喜欢 We liked the location, how spotlessly clean the toilets and shower room was, large pitches. Owners were very easy to talk to. The site had an area to buy plants and fresh fruit and veg and we had a pop up bakery Saturday morning. Beautiful cakes!

喜欢 Great site. Has large level hard standing pitches. Electric is metered so very reasonable price. Owners are friendly and knowledgeable. There are 4 individual toilet huts, an outdoor shower and one new disabled toilet/shower unit. This site is seriously good value for money. Booked one night, stayed for 2 and will definitely use again.

Local pub about 5 minutes walk is dog friendly.

喜欢 Absolutelty cracking spotless peaceful spot, Anthony is a lovely helpful gent, shower and toliets clean. Wifi good and a bouns a little fruit and veg shop with honset box, fab eggs and Dutch strawberries and not expensvive as well as a little garden place with beautful hanging baskets and plants. On a Saturday a lady comes and sells all HOMEMADE breads, pies and cakes. Its a little walked into town but there is a bus stops. The hard stand spaces are huge as well and not on top of each other which is a plus. We will deffo be back

That’s just for starters though; don’t neglect the 4D movies and panoramic views from the Blackpool Tower Eye or miss the chance to see rare Bornean orangutans at Blackpool Zoo. If you prefer to be out in the fresh country air, you can have a rip-roaring run around on the inflatables at Blackpool Wake Park (15 minutes). Easy access to Junction 3 of the M55 (10 minutes’ drive) also makes it a complete doddle to reach the walking and cycling routes of the southern Lake District National Park (55 minutes) or the Forest of Bowland National Landscape (40 minutes). Other intriguing options for outings include Ribble Steam Railway & Museum (10 minutes), the half-timbered (and possibly haunted) Samlesbury Hall (20 minutes) and the impressive beasts of the Owl & Bird of Prey Sanctuary (20 minutes).
