喜欢: Really great hosts, nothing a problem and very welcoming. Pods were clean and well looked after. Plenty of facilities and clean.

喜欢: We have just returned from the most lovely few days away at this campsite! The owners were lovely, and very helpful - even before our stay! The site caters for all and is located in the most peaceful surroundings over looking the countryside. We will most definitely return.

喜欢: Lovely stay, Robert & Julie we're so nice & welcoming, much better with the 'no music' rule as we all had the best sleep & were able to be up early next morning without been tired through noise, planned our next trip before we even left, we camp all year through & this is the best place we've stayed, def our new camp site ... from the 'ice from the shop girl' 😂

喜欢: Mains farm campsite was fab from the minute we got there, we got a lovely welcome and a very helpful map of the area, the lady in reception was lovely and explained where to go and where to park etc. Our pod was spotless, picnic bench was helpful as we didn’t need our deckchairs, the toilets and showers were fab! There was even a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge etc, we couldn’t have wanted for more!

喜欢: This was our first camping experience trip. So glad we chose Mains Farm, it was a lovely site, spacious and not over crowded. Close to th river which was a lovely walk, my partner also went paddle boarding which was a huge bonus. The toilets and showers were fab, plenty of them too. The children’s play area was ideal for my 5 year old. Great site, friendly hosts. We loved it so much we ended up booking for another night. Our daughter loved the honesty shop too, fab touch.

Heavenly Eden Valley walks are right on the doorstep from Mains Farm Camping and Caravan Site, from ambles to (the pubs at) Lazonby, to a hike along the River Eden to see Lacy's Caves... and then on to Little Salkeld and the Bronze Age stone circle of Long Meg and her Daughters. Ramble to the north of Little Salkeld to see the Eden Lacy Viaduct over the River Eden, one of a couple of dozen viaducts on the 72-mile journey of the Carlisle to Settle Railway (jump on at Lazonby and Kirkoswald railway station to puff north west to Carlisle or south to Settle). Going north for the day – actually, allow at least two – Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish border are around 40 minutes’ drive away.
