喜欢 It was basic but loved it sheep roaming around kids playing like old times lovely dog walks .Don't go here if you have to shower none which makes it proper camping in my eyes

喜欢 Stayed the weekend with my son and his partner, and friends with there children. I loved it, the views were lovely, it had clean toilets with fairy lights in for night time.

喜欢 Very quiet. We were the only people there.
Toilet/porta-loo was clean.

不喜欢 Expensive for what is there.

The long road/track to get to the camping area/field isn’t good.

We weren’t aware that sheep roam around the field you stay in.

When booking at our site, the facilities are clearly stated. The price of each pitch is also in line with other sites on the area, with exactly the same facilities.
We are disappointed you did not feel able to discuss with us any of these issues, with us at any point that you saw us on the camping field. Instead choosing to leave this review.
Please can I also note, that you did not actually pay for all the tents you had pitched and cycling past out house, swearing at the top of voice was not appreciated on our part. Neither was the mountain of rubbish you felt it was appropriate to leave for us to dispose of.

喜欢 This is our second time to sturdy bank, we loved it so much the first time we brought the kids back!
Everything here is so lovely, the portaloos are the cleanest I have ever been in, I love the sheep and cows outside the campsite and every now and again wandering through, my daughter did too.
The campsite is a basic campsite but the owners really do care about it and the people there, the washing up facilities have leaflets about the local area, fresh eggs from their hens to buy and there are games for kids (and big kids) to play, and they brought out a slip and slide for all the kids to play on during our stay, it made our kids weekend!
Everything is checked on regularly to make sure it’s topped up, clean and safe, you can tell love is here. You can always find the owners pottering about and it’s never too crowded unlike other local sites which can get a bit overwhelming, we found it perfect here.
The views are really incredible and at sunset you are in for a treat, even my 10 year old said how amazing it was and didn’t moan once there wasn’t an Xbox :)
Cannot wait to come back, thank you so much for a lovely weekend again in your site. Also really good price we’ve spent loads at other campsites for the same facilities

喜欢 Nice spacious site, portaloos were clean. Only planned on staying one night but I booked a second night whilst I was there!

喜欢 A couple of days mid-week, at the very end of the season, meant the site was super quiet, and I had my choice of where to park-up the camper van. Plenty of level spots and amazing views in every direction.
I also found the footpath across the fields, which gets you to the (very friendly) pub in just a few minutes, and avoids roads altogether.
It might be "back to basics" but that's often when camping is at its best.
Loved it!

喜欢 Gorgeous scenery, lovely hosts! Absolutely would recommend - we stayed here in our campervan and loved it so much we stayed an extra night!
