Cockin Farm Campsite

喜欢 Place was great , very close to Kendall, owners were very welcoming, lovely quite place to relax, shepherds hut had everything we needed , and was so comfortable and walm. With extras cookies , which were very tasty , and milk left for our stay , will definitely be back, as it’s a great price too , thank you .

喜欢 We stayed in the blue door shepherds hut, it was very clean and has a very useful kitchenette with everything you would need for your stay

Bed was super comfy and clean, toilet facilities were clean and eco friendly, shower was clean and nice too!

Fire pits and bbq friendly site

The hosts were super friendly and helpful, salt of the earth type of people, they checked in on us and made sure we were okay and happy with everything and couldn’t be more helpful, even their dog Sprout was a true little gentleman

There was a tin of homemade cookies left in the hut for us on arrival and they were absolutely delicious, I’d return just for them

I’d recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be booking again

Lovely remote location that’s only a 15 min drive to Kendal centre and great genuine hosts that couldn’t be more accommodating

喜欢 The glorious site, the quiet, the welcome from the hosts, the basic eco-friendly facilities - a very beautiful place to be.

不喜欢 A little tricky to find a flatish space but not really a problem. We were in a Berlingo and the track was fine but I wouldn't want to do it in a big van as the turns are tight and it's quite narrow.

喜欢 tl;dr: everything. If you're looking for a non-commercial, cozy, camping site with beautiful views all around, this is the place.

Warm showers, fresh water and washing up areas are one minute walking down a path with fairylights, there's a compostable toilet on a side of the site, super well kept.

Emily and Pete are so helpful, quick to respond and welcoming.

喜欢 A really AMAZING campsite with fantastic hosts and great facilities for a camping night away. Easy to find with a great welcome email and even better welcome in person by Em and Pete. Great addition to have logs, eggs and honey also for sale as well.

喜欢 Really amazing campsite, greeted by Pete on arrival and was told where everything is. The actual campsite has lots of space so never feels very full, incredible views for both sunrise and sunset. The facilities are very good and nice eco touches, even at night the path to the showers has nice fairy lights guiding you. Phone signal also a amazingly good considering the locatiuon. Added bonus that they sell their own honey and eggs from the farm!

不喜欢 Only one toilet(shed outhouse over hole in the ground not a plumbed in toilet)
ground not level literally a field on a hill.
no level space found needs proper toilet facilities and level pitches for tents.
closet shops 15min drive so dont forget anything.

We pride ourselves on being a back to nature, environmentally friendly site hence the composting toilet (which is clearly advertised on our listing). If you had mentioned you were unhappy with the ground we could have recommend a pitch that met your requirements.

不喜欢 Facilities were fairly non-existent, field was rough and uneven. Having stayed at other pop-up farm campsites, thus one was a poor effort. Im a seasoned camper and used to wild camping so wasn’t expecting the earth from this site, but at half the price it would’ve been expensive for what it was.
