喜欢: Good site, well maintained, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The site is quite secluded out on the coast and not too far from the beach.

不喜欢: Unisex toilets, as a man it doesn’t really matter to me but you have to see it from a woman’s perspective.

喜欢: We had a lovely stay at Shepards Views on a large grass electric pitch, situated on a working farm. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. There is lots to get out and do outside of the site, St. bees, Seascale Beach, Whitehaven, coastal walks and more. Plenty of onsite toilets and showers which were kept immaculately clean everyday, grass areas well look after also. Campfires available.

不喜欢: Only disadvantage was WiFi.

不喜欢: One of the younger members of staff is very uptight, makes you feel rather uncomfortable. Pitch was on a slight decline so when it rained, our tent filled with water

Regarding a younger member of staff being 'uptight' on checking in you had brought an extra adult and child and extra car which you had not booked in or informed us of prior to arrival. All staff and a number of guests on site had great concerns regarding the behaviour of your family & we had to speak to you on numerous occasions during your stay regarding this, especially for the few mentioned incidents here. Two of the children were driving a scooter with a large engine attached around site, at speed & we had to inform you this is illegal and told you it must not be used on site, at any time. One of the adults and children were flying a drone in a field containing animals terrifying them, our site is also in a no-fly zone and drones are not permitted anywhere on or around site. An adult and children were also in the field with our Alpaca chasing them around, fortunately our Alpaca were not injured, but they were extremely distressed. We had a complaint from a guest that you were encouraging your children to go to our recycling bins and bring up plastic bottles to burn on your campfire causing offensive smelling thick black smoke, your children were also left on site unattended on more than one occasion. Our list of camping etiquette is given to all guests on arrival and you also received a copy of this. This is for the safety and comfort of all guests on site including yourselves, we have a duty of care to everyone on site and the safety of all guests and staff is paramount. Your family's behaviour was a danger to yourselves, staff, other guests and even animals on site. For the full duration of your stay we had no flooding on site whatsoever. Shepherds Views Team

喜欢: Lovely working farm pitch. Really friendly welcome on arrival. Lots of provisions in the small reception shop. Wood, fire lighters and kindling delivered direct to our patch. Clean bathroom facilities, always able to go when needed and the site was relatively busy. Washing up area always clean and the pitch itself was huge with own fire pit. Was hesitant and even thought about cancelling after reading many reviews about the welcome people received. Couldn't fault the owners or the welcome.

不喜欢: Site is as described. Disliked barking dogs. There were lots and at some points it was like camping next to a busy kennel. This is purely poor dog owners controlling their dogs.

喜欢: Owners were so friendly and helpful, we were pitched with trees/bushes on 3 sides so felt like we were in our own private pitch and kept the wind out which was amazing. Each pitch has a fire pit which we used every night. Views from the campsite are beautiful and there’s lots to do nearby.

喜欢: Facilities clean and modern, lovely place to go peaceful easy walking to beach and park. The family that run the site are lovely very welcoming, helpful. Animals on the site are great the kids loved it being on a farm.

不喜欢: Not much to do for little ones apart from a seated area with a few animals. Can't play football as lots of pitches for campers. But park is not far 2 minutes drive away.

来自经理: Thank you for your review We do have a large field which ball games and football can be played, however due to the extremely wet weather we were unable to open this up for all our guests to enjoy. The animals in the field are not normally in that field and are in the first half as the large part is for our guests. The bench in with the animals is in there as it's normally open for everyone, however as stated above we had to close this due to the weather. We did run a childrens Easter colouring competetion in which we hope you enjoyed taking part. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future Thanks, Rachael

喜欢: Absolutely amazing site located 15 mins away from the beach super friendly staff lovley on site facilities Even got to go and see the donkey (murphy) would highly recommend and definitely be coming back

喜欢: Super friendly welcome! The ladies on reception couldn't have done enough for you, nothing was too much trouble and they were chatty too which we love! Excellent service for my 6 year old daughter too, spoke to her, let her feed the fish and we were allowed a VIP visit to the lambs too - thank you! The facilities were modern, clean and warm! There is a communal fridge and freezer for guests. The reception has soft drinks and a few essentials that you may have forgotten. You order your logs (£10 for a big sack) and they get delivered to your pitch, no carrying them around. The site is nice and quiet, surrounding area quiet too which means little traffic noise through the night. It's 4 miles one way to Ravenglass and 3 miles the other way to Seascale. 10 minutes drive from Muncaster Castle. Would definitely return.

喜欢: Friendly owners, showed us to our pitch and were very accommodating when we asked if they had any eggs... they checked the chicken hut and came back with half a dozen. The positives about staying on a working farm! 😊

不喜欢: The only downside for me was the unisex toilet/shower block.. it just felt a bit odd showering when there was a man in the next cubicle...
