Boots at the ready… Bluebell Wilds is just next to the Bishop Bennet Way, a popular long-distance trail that leads to the equally splendid Sandstone Trail and a number of other footpaths. That puts a whole range of walks within easy reach – along with a canalside pub 20 minutes’ stroll away for those post-walk pints. This adults-only site is part of a small farm close to the Cheshire/Shropshire border, about 10 minutes’ drive from Whitchurch. There are lovely rural views all around, and the site is often treated to some spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Whitchurch has plenty of places to pick up picnic bits to nibble while you watch the sky, and it also has takeaways that will deliver to site. Facilities on site include a washing-up area, chemical disposal point and modern toilet block with separate male and female toilets and a couple of wet rooms with showers. When you’re not out walking, there’s plenty more to do nearby, including castles, a gin distillery and a watersports lake; expand your horizons a little further and you can make day trips to Chester, Shrewsbury, Liverpool or Manchester. Getting out to all of these should be straightforward as the site is only a short way from the A41 for speedy journeys.

喜欢 Everything. Lovely setting. We stayed on the Oak pitch, hardstanding and level. Clean toilets and fab large shower. Secure field to let our dog have a run around. A secure site with Kim messaging us with full instructions before we arrived regarding codes needed. We liked it so much we asked for a late check out as the sun was shining.

喜欢 We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed our stay! It has everything you need in a campsite including fantastic toilet and shower facilities - they are so clean and well kept. We will certainly be back in the future!

喜欢 Wow this place was superb, one of the best we’ve stayed at since owning our van! The freedom of the dog field and walks from the site was very appealing. The facilities were very clean and with our stay being through the week we almost had it all to ourselves which was extra special. Thanks so much and we will most definitely return!

喜欢 Really nice rural site, despite being just a stone's throw from the A41.
Lovely hot shower, with the added luxury of not having to press a button every 10 seconds!
Great wifi.
Level pitches.
Peaceful.

不喜欢 Didn't seem to be any recycling option for rubbish.
Discreet bin in each of the 2 toilet cubicles would be preferable to just the 1 small open bin between the wash basins.
Can imagine that 1 washing-up sink, 2M & 2F toilets and 2 unisex showers wouldn't be sufficient when the site is busy. (We stayed midweek, off-season so it wasn't a problem for us.)

不喜欢 Dog roaming around freely, unable to let our dog out on the spiral, found it in our awning on more than one occasion which set our dog off barking

喜欢 Site was immaculate, info prior to arrival was also clear and detailed. Excellent dog exercise area. Shower toilet facilities all very modern and extremely clean. Will definitely visit again and can highly recommend.

不喜欢 Just some super minor points. Toilets are not fixed to the floor correctly. We went out for the day and a neighbour informed us a dog had been through our rubbish bag.On the 2nd day the dog was just roaming around the site for 2-3 hours which in turn meant my own dog wouldn't settle, wasn't ideal when trying to relax. As I say, super minor negatives and a great site.

喜欢 Lovely site. The pitch size was good with easy access to the facilities. Staff were welcoming and interested in ensuring you had a good stay. Handy enclosed dog field to allow off lead right next to our caravan. Lovely hot and spacious showers. Ideas for improvement would be better signage from the main road. the toilet light goes out fairly quickly, there isn't a wash basin in the shower block (i.e. you need to go to the toilet block to brush your teeth). These are literally tiny points and didn't impact our overall experience which was fab and we'll be rebooking whenever we need to visit that area again

This may be an adults-only site, but there are plenty of ways to indulge your inner kid nearby… You might like to start by bouncing across the inflatable obstacle course at Alderford Lake (10 minutes’ drive), which also has wild swims and watersports, before going wide-eyed at the prospect of all the flavours on offer at The Ice Cream Farm (20 minutes). More grown-up days out are on hand too, including wanders around Cholmondeley Castle Gardens (10 minutes) and Beeston Castle (20 minutes) or seeking out the (not very) secret location of Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker (25 minutes). And maybe you’d also like to try the tipples at the Three Wrens Cheshire Distillery (15 minutes)? A little further afield, you might like to head to Chester (half an hour) for a wander among the half-timbered houses, a bit of retail therapy at Cheshire Oaks shopping village or a day of animal encounters at Chester Zoo. Liverpool (55 minutes) is also a great place for a day out.
