If you're off to Oulton Park Circuit to see the fast cars, you might want a speedy return to base after a long day of envy. And you'll have it at Cheshire's Elm Cottage Touring Park, which is just a mile from the circuit as well as within easy reach of other popular pulls in the area like Chester, Delamere Forest, the north Wales coast, Snowdonia, the Peak District, Liverpool, Manchester… Elm Cottage is family owned and run, set in Cheshire countryside and surrounded by farming fields with a view across the Cheshire plains. It has an eco-friendly toilet block with free showers, constant hot water, underfloor heating, hairdryers and an easy access shower for family users or disabled guests. There's also a big exercise area for dogs and a play area, a large selection of tourist info at reception, and a shop on site selling locally sourced bacon, eggs and sausages plus basic grocery and non-food items as well as soft drinks and locally made ice cream. A popular pub serving good food and ales is a short distance from the site entrance and two pubs are in the local village of Little Budworth. If you fancy pizza, the Elm Cottage owners dish it up every Friday evening during the summer, freshly made in the site's new pizza oven.

喜欢 We’ve been camping for almost 19 years now and I can say this camp site is the best one by miles! It is extremely well kept, hygiene and cleanliness levels are immaculate!!
We had pizza and garlic bread hand made in front of us on Friday night and it was incredible, topped off by delicious hand made crepes the following morning. There wasn’t a single crumb uneaten.
Our children loved the playground which was an added bonus, the amazing family who run this campsite were so welcoming helpfully and friendly. James, Jackie and Jess are welcome wonderful people and clearly have their heart and soul in their beautiful campsite. Thank you so much for our stay we will be returning for sure ! Xx

喜欢 An excellent site, very well managed, exceptionally clean and well attended (but small capacity) facilities, such as friendly on site team of wardens.

不喜欢 Allows large groups, has a very late curfew and has some customers - adults and children who have little regard for others in terms of noise - it’s the only thing that would stop us returning and to be fair the wardens are trying but think the process on curfew, quiet tone, arrival briefing and groups needs to be reviewed.

喜欢 Toilets, showers and dish washing area were super clean.
The bathroom area was cleaned around the clock it was brilliant.
Pitch size was spot on with a nice space between others.
Play area over looking horse fields is a lovely touch for the small children.

喜欢 The site was lovely. Showers and toilets were clean and checked regularly. The washing up stations, bin areas and water points were all in good order. The shop was great and very convenient. Had the pizzas on the Friday and they were delicious! Crepes on the weekend too were scrumptious! Very friendly staff. Play area was great and kept my children very entertained. We will definitely come again.

The park is perfectly placed for days out and activities for all ages and tastes, whether you want city days out, tramps through woodland or historic houses. Oulton Park racing circuit is a mile away and has a programme of events throughout the year, while Little Budworth Country Park is walkable from the site. The nearby village of Tarporley has designer shopping, tearooms and swish restaurants. Bolesworth Castle and its many events including CarFest North and international horse shows is 10 miles from Elm Cottage Touring Park, and old and rather fab Chester is 12 miles west with decent park and ride facilities. Famed Chester Zoo is also within easy reach. Stargazers should shoot along to the Jodrell Bank Observatory and Discovery Centre 15 miles away at Macclesfield, an educational establishment with visitor centre, arboretum and the mammoth Lovell Telescope. Other excellent day trips are around in all directions, like active days out in Snowdonia National Park or around the Welsh coast, hiking the Peak District or city shopping and sightseeing in Liverpool and Manchester.
