Coastal sunrises, cattle for neighbours and castles to visit… you’ll get a real sense of the Northumberland countryside when you stay at North Bellshill Farm Campsite. Tucked away in a peaceful rural spot and yet only a couple of minutes’ drive from the A1, this place makes a great base for either a quick stopover or full weekend spent exploring the Northumberland countryside and coast. Pitches are part of a working farm with a quiet rural atmosphere and lovely uninterrupted views over to the coast – a splendid mix for a bit of chilled-out downtime. How you fill your time while you’re here is up to you – Bamburgh is about 10 minutes’ drive away for beach days, games of golf and castle tours, and there are plenty more lovely beaches and spectacular castles just a little further along the coast. Inland, you could spend the day exploring popular Alnwick Castle, or seek solitude in the Northumberland National Park – as the UK’s least-visited national park, it’s a fabulous place for a quiet hike away from the crowds, or a spot of stargazing (its remote location makes it the largest Dark Sky Park in the country). That said, you may simply choose to chill out on site, perhaps lighting up your barbecue or building a campfire for a relaxed outdoor evening. Pitches here are nicely spacious and dog-friendly, and you can bring extras like gazebos and awnings to make your space more comfortable (just add them as extras so you’ll have space). Simple facilities include toilets and a washing-up area but please note there are no showers or drinking water taps.

喜欢 Lovely clean and tidy site. Toilets and bins done on a daily basis. The owners are very friendly and easy going. Second time we visited and will definitely return. This site is very well situated to visit Seahouses and Bamburgh.

喜欢 Pretty and peaceful site with uninterrupted rural and coastal views. As a solo female camper, I felt safe and I slept like a log. Loved pitching up next to a field of cows! I’ll definitely be back.

喜欢 Easy access and secure. Toilets were clean and the site was tidy. Family were great checking who was in the site. Beautiful place to visit.

不喜欢 The fact that I was in a tent made it tricky. The ground was flat ish, which meant I was in a ball at the bottom of the tent! Sign posting was my biggest concern. It took a while to find the turning off the main road. Back and forth multiple times. A sign on the main road would improve finding the site

喜欢 Basic and quiet site, good location for Holy Island, Bamburgh and local beaches. Good value for money Facilities very basic but not an issue for a couple of days if you prepare well. Amazing dark skies. Didn’t meet hosts but had no issues.
