Ash Keys Caravan Park is a family-friendly site in a quiet corner of a family-run 165-acre farm. This peaceful spot is at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, half a mile from the teeny hamlet of Eshton and five minutes’ drive from more extensive amenities (pubs, takeaways and small supermarkets) in Gargrave. This is a most handy spot to settle in for outdoor activities: you can take walks or bike rides directly from the park, join nearby major trails like the Pennine Way (three quarters of a mile from the park), Way of the Roses and National Cycle Network Route 68. The fab attractions around Malham (Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss and Gordale Scar) are about a 15-minute drive away. The well-kept pitches here all have electricity, water hookups and grey waste drains. The facilities block houses toilets and showers, a washing-up area and an information hub, and there are also recycling facilities and an Elsan point close by. Dogs are welcome on site and have their own dedicated exercise area where they can have a good run about. Barbecues are also permitted, and perhaps at their finest when graced with good food from one of the three excellent farm shops within a 10-minute drive.

喜欢 Everything about our stay was great, it’s a really nice quiet site with everything you need to make it enjoyable. The toilets/showers/washing facilities were spotless & nice big pitches, would definitely return!

喜欢 Everything. New facilities, generous level pitches, beautiful location and hassle free arrival. The welcome package from the owner has lots of really useful information and there are lots of thoughtful touches throughout the site.

喜欢 Great location, fully serviced pitches and nice new amenities block. Large enclosed dog run

不喜欢 Loose dogs off lead and playing fetch on the site and not the dog field. With no visits from the owners this occurred most days, even had a dog try to get in our awning to get to our dogs. This became worse over the weekend.
Would have been nice for the toilet waste disposal to be under cover

喜欢 This is a nice site with plenty of space and full facilities on your pitch: water, waste water, electric and TV aerial. They have a dedicated dog walk field and the toilet and showers are new, very clean with pot washing and an information room which has details of the site, nearby walks and pub menus. The staff are really friendly and they operate a dark sky policy so it is great for star gazing, we want to return when the nights get darker. Loved it!

喜欢 Spacious fully serviced pitches & reasonably level, excellent new toilet & shower bloc with pot wash facilities, dog shower hut with dryer, information hub. Good free WiFi able to stream movies etc.
Close to many attractions and lovely villages

不喜欢 The internal road was becoming badly rutted due to the excessive rain that had been falling for days on end, but I’m sure this would be quickly repaired once the weather improved

喜欢 Second time staying at this site and won’t be the last, we absolutely love it!!
The ‘self service’ ability to choose your own fully serviced pitch on arrival is excellent.
Well maintained site, modern & clean facilities. Lots of games, books & DVD’s to borrow, the owners have clearly put a lot of thought into this site.
We have recommended the site and spread the word to many and will continue to do so x

If you’re not planning lengthy rambles on the long-distance paths, set forth for some of the local highlights instead. Get going in Gargrave (five minutes’ drive) with a waterside walk by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, then see cascades in action at Linton Falls (20 minutes). Make time for Malham too: a 15-minute drive gets you over to this fab village and its trio of top sights (Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss and Gordale Scar). After that, take an uphill challenge on the mountain paths of Pen-y-Ghent (35 minutes) or head underground to see what’s in store at Ingleborough Cave (40 minutes). Other ways to get about? Perhaps with a day of horse riding from Kilnsey or a rather more laidback trip on the Settle-Carlisle Railway – both are about 20 minutes’ drive away. And if you’ve got tiddlers who’d benefit from staying in one place for a while, there’s plenty to keep them amused among the animals, tractor tours and play areas of Hesketh Farm Park (20 minutes).
