Ash Keys Caravan Park is a family-friendly site in a quiet corner of a family-run 165-acre farm. This peaceful spot is at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, half a mile from the teeny hamlet of Eshton and five minutes’ drive from more extensive amenities (pubs, takeaways and small supermarkets) in Gargrave. This is a most handy spot to settle in for outdoor activities: you can take walks or bike rides directly from the park, join nearby major trails like the Pennine Way (three quarters of a mile from the park), Way of the Roses and National Cycle Network Route 68. The fab attractions around Malham (Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss and Gordale Scar) are about a 15-minute drive away. The well-kept pitches here all have electricity, water hookups and grey waste drains. The facilities block houses toilets and showers, a washing-up area and an information hub, and there are also recycling facilities and an Elsan point close by. Dogs are welcome on site and have their own dedicated exercise area where they can have a good run about. Barbecues are also permitted, and perhaps at their finest when graced with good food from one of the three excellent farm shops within a 10-minute drive.

Spacious pitch.
Beautiful countryside.
Wildlife spotting.
The hosts provided a detailed welcome pack, thank you. There was also walking guides available, books, dvds and a selection of puzzles and games. My children enjoyed borrowing the games.
I think if it had a small playground in the centre of Ashfield it would be even better for families to keep the kids busy, but I understand not everyone wants that.

喜欢 Lovely clean site, very large fully serviced pitches including a TV aerial for each pitch and good WiFi around the site. Brand new toilet/shower block with pot wash etc. Highly recommended for a nice peaceful place to stay.

喜欢 Excellent location excellent if you have a dog seperate field just for your dog to run all safe and fenced in and dog wash facilities. Nice sized grass area for the kids to play . Shower block and kit hen area spotless.

喜欢 Lovely peaceful campsite. Just drive in and pick your own pitch. Well spaced out pitches all with water electric and waste, also tv ariel if needed.
Facilities were spotless, warm showers.
Owners were very accommodating when I had to change by booking at very short notice . Thankyou

喜欢 Large spaces between pitches, peace and quiet. Being able to choose own pitch.
New toilet block very nice, would have liked a bit of background music otherwise all good.
Plenty of helpful information and a cash option to pay for a pitch.

不喜欢 Nothing except no TV signal even with hookup antenna on pitch and WiFi not working at all on our stay.

喜欢 A very peaceful and picturesque campsite.
We really appreciate the large pitches, which are serviced with a tap on each pitch and a drain.
The added bonus now as well as the new toilet block with showers toilet and a pot washing room.
Our Dog also loves the dog field.
One of our very favourite sites, and in easy reach of beautiful villages such as Malham Cove & Grassington.

If you’re not planning lengthy rambles on the long-distance paths, set forth for some of the local highlights instead. Get going in Gargrave (five minutes’ drive) with a waterside walk by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, then see cascades in action at Linton Falls (20 minutes). Make time for Malham too: a 15-minute drive gets you over to this fab village and its trio of top sights (Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss and Gordale Scar). After that, take an uphill challenge on the mountain paths of Pen-y-Ghent (35 minutes) or head underground to see what’s in store at Ingleborough Cave (40 minutes). Other ways to get about? Perhaps with a day of horse riding from Kilnsey or a rather more laidback trip on the Settle-Carlisle Railway – both are about 20 minutes’ drive away. And if you’ve got tiddlers who’d benefit from staying in one place for a while, there’s plenty to keep them amused among the animals, tractor tours and play areas of Hesketh Farm Park (20 minutes).
