Ash Keys Caravan Park is a family-friendly site in a quiet corner of a family-run 165-acre farm. This peaceful spot is at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, half a mile from the teeny hamlet of Eshton and five minutes’ drive from more extensive amenities (pubs, takeaways and small supermarkets) in Gargrave. This is a most handy spot to settle in for outdoor activities: you can take walks or bike rides directly from the park, join nearby major trails like the Pennine Way (three quarters of a mile from the park), Way of the Roses and National Cycle Network Route 68. The fab attractions around Malham (Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss and Gordale Scar) are about a 15-minute drive away. The well-kept pitches here all have electricity, water hookups and grey waste drains. The facilities block houses toilets and showers, a washing-up area and an information hub, and there are also recycling facilities and an Elsan point close by. Dogs are welcome on site and have their own dedicated exercise area where they can have a good run about. Barbecues are also permitted, and perhaps at their finest when graced with good food from one of the three excellent farm shops within a 10-minute drive.

Great spot for exploring the Dales. Spacious, level, serviced pitches. Top-notch, clean facilities (new shower block a hit!). Dog-friendly with its own field. Easy self-check-in, loads of info. Peaceful vibe, though showers are a bit of a walk and you might hear farm animals.

Liked We are a couple with a dog staying in our campervan with driveaway awning. Spacious well kept pitches, with WiFi, drinking water and EHU on each pitch.
Shower/toilet block and pot wash unit was immaculate. Very dog friendly, with dog wash and enclosed dog field. Information hub - with lots of ideas for local activities and places to visit. Will definitely come back… great site ideally located for great days out. The welcome pack was comprehensive and very helpful.

Liked Lovely large pitch and choosing where we could go .
The new toilets were spotless and lovely to use.
Nice to have somewhere our dog could run enclosed and a dog wash especially when ours likes rolling in things 😀
Nice the information room with lots of info and books etc nice touch
Lovely dark skies , views, and quiet ,
And having drainage and water on your pitch and TV arial which was needed. And WiFi

Disliked Maybe some low lighting markers around the toilets maybe on the fencing (solar lights)as when your not near them its very dark without a torch to see where your going .
The approach in to the site is a bit narrow especially if you meet someone maybe a passing place. would help.

Liked We had a lovely stay at Ash Keys Caravan Park, it was so quiet the pitches were large and the facilities block was quite new and very clean. Would highly recommend it, will definitely be going back. 👍

Liked Wieder alles super geklappt, vom Self checkin über die Toiletten absolut nichts zu meckern. Auf eine Rückfrage meinerseits per Mail kam sehr schnell die freundliche, unkomplizierte Antwort. Und dann noch diese wunderschöne Gegend. Super!

If you’re not planning lengthy rambles on the long-distance paths, set forth for some of the local highlights instead. Get going in Gargrave (five minutes’ drive) with a waterside walk by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, then see cascades in action at Linton Falls (20 minutes). Make time for Malham too: a 15-minute drive gets you over to this fab village and its trio of top sights (Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss and Gordale Scar). After that, take an uphill challenge on the mountain paths of Pen-y-Ghent (35 minutes) or head underground to see what’s in store at Ingleborough Cave (40 minutes). Other ways to get about? Perhaps with a day of horse riding from Kilnsey or a rather more laidback trip on the Settle-Carlisle Railway – both are about 20 minutes’ drive away. And if you’ve got tiddlers who’d benefit from staying in one place for a while, there’s plenty to keep them amused among the animals, tractor tours and play areas of Hesketh Farm Park (20 minutes).
