喜欢: Excellent and helpful owners, good space foe walking, great facilities for water, washing, showers. Ideal spot for a relaxing break.

不喜欢: No fault of the site, but no footpath to nearby village of Huntington to get bus to York.

不喜欢: The worst camp site I’ve ever been to with my little family, we took two 1 year olds and a 4 year olds.
And well it was just horrendous!!
From the moment we arrived we felt intimidated and uncomfortable.
We was been spoke through where to pitch etc and park (god forbid you don’t put your tent or car in the exact spot he’s pointed his finger) my 4 year old touched a plastic plant pot with fake plants in… the man was not best pleased and proceeded to tell my son not to do that… what did he think was going to happen when he’d pitched us practically on top of this silly plant pot.
If you are a family who are going away for a laugh and to make some memories this isn’t the place you could barely say boo.
You couldn’t hear a voice on this site. It was full of couples and elderly, it should most definitely be advertised as “adults only “

The intimidation carried on as did the been told of for petty things such as the car been 2 inch’s to the left of where he wanted it etc.

He was around way to much for my liking I get he owns the site but he would be sat watching from his garden or hed be walking the little 1 to 2 acre field he had with us all in just been intimidating.

We paid £147 Friday to Monday. We packed up and left Saturday afternoon with kids in tears and very upset parents.

喜欢: I had high hopes because Wagtail is the most expensive site we have stayed on but we werent disappointed. The owner is friendly and showed us to the pitch and told us where to find everything on the site and how to get to shops etc. The site is divided into smaller sections so vans aren't on top of each other. The toilets and shower are really clean and the shower has loads of room to get changed. There is an area around the edges of the site to walk the dogs with plenty of dog bins. The fishing was good although the pegs are a bit close together

不喜欢: The chemical waste area could do with a hose as we found this in a bit of a mess

喜欢: Peter was a fabulous host!! Very friendly and gave me some good tips on what to do in the area… inspired me to walk the castle wall!!
My camping pod was a great little spot. Lovely site with clean facilities!!
Also they have owls!! 🦉
Short journey into York and close to a big retail park

喜欢: The owner was really helpful and gave us some great recommendations that turned out to be the highlight of our holiday. Great clean facilities and a straight forward bike ride into York which took just over 30 mins. Highly recommend this site and just a 5 min drive from the biggest retail park I’ve ever seen which was handy for picking up essentials.

喜欢: The location was great for getting into York centre - a short distance to drive or a well run service at a park and ride just a few minutes drive away.
The camping pod was excellent - well located for good views, peaceful, warm and cosy. Washing and water facilities were very close by and all in really good working order.
Our hosts were friendly and welcoming making sure that we had everything we needed including local information such as transport links, local events and restaurant recommendations.
