Can’t decide between a countryside location or being close to the coast? Bag yourselves a good bit of both with a stay at Burnt House Caravan Park. This peaceful family-run park is in the North York Moors National Park, so it’s surrounded by gorgeous rural scenery and has easy access to moorland walks, relaxed bike rides and other activities including fishing at Scaling Reservoir (five minutes' drive away). You may like to ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for a good taste of the landscapes or perhaps challenge yourself to a steep clamber up Roseberry Topping. Or how about that coast trip? The North Yorkshire coast is only about five miles from the site, and being close to the A171 means you’ll be able to zip along to the popular town of Whitby in about 15 minutes by car. Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hood’s Bay are all within easy reach too. The touring pitches here are for adults only, but dogs are allowed as long as they’re kept on leads at all times. Barbecues are permitted, and you can retreat to the games room for some indoor time if the weather’s not looking so good. Other facilities on site include a launderette, a wifi service, a chemical disposal point and bathrooms with showers and toilets.

喜欢 Very clean , quite , friendly regulars
That knew things and was very helpful
Everyone was friendly
They have a play room with pool table and table tennis ,games,puzzles and books galore to take or swop
We paid £22 to get back from Whitby but the Taxi driver was very friendly & helpful

不喜欢 The shower block in my opinion needed to be closer to the motorhomes
25-30 mins on bus to Whitby
Buses are not reliable and bus station is dirty smelly
Very over crowded as well

喜欢 Very well kept site, great location, very quiet. Lovely pub nearby.

不喜欢 Poor wifi throughout site with no data available. Poor lighting at night, especially to get to toilets. Toilet/shower block quite dated and not lit at all at night. Site is better suited for motorhomes or campervans with own toilets. Concerned about short metal posts sticking through concrete pad on plot, could cause damage if driven over.

喜欢 Burnt House park was clean and pleasant. Although there was noone to greet us, we were made welcome by the lovely gentleman who answered the door bell via phone link and talked us through where to pitch. The toilets and showers were clean and hot and the hard standing pitches were spacious and well maintained with electric and water .

不喜欢 The site could do with more signs pointing to the chemical toilet waste unit and bins and some direction to where dogs would be able to be exercised and walked. It didn't come over as being particularly dog friendly.
