Feel free as a bird at award-winning Crows Nest Caravan Park between Scarborough and Filey – this well-maintained place is roomy, green and has sea views overlooking gorgeous Gristhorpe Bay and Scarborough Castle. Crows Nest is five miles from Scarborough and two and a half miles from Filey, but if you’re taking a break from the seaside/ exploring the North Yorkshire coast there’s loads to do on site too: a lounge bar with entertainment in peak season to suit all ages and tastes, a family bar with pool tables, a games room, a play area for little fledglings and a heated indoor pool with poolside assistants during high season. The award-winning amenities block a short walk from the tent field has free hot showers, wash basins, hairdryers and socket/shaver points, and there are also family bathrooms and a disabled-access shower room. Elsewhere on site there’s a washing-up area, launderette, chemical disposal point and well-stocked supermarket. And, as you can’t come to the coast and not have fish and chips, there’s also a chippy takeaway open in high season (but they do have more fish and chips in Scarborough too). Bringing the family friend? Crows Nest Caravan Park is dog-friendly and dogs are allowed in the conservatory area of the lounge bar; there's also a dog park on site.

喜欢 loads of room non elecctric there wasnt any available i booked over a month ago with the kids hols i took my grandson on his first hol with nana and grandad it was very good if you need something for the kids he loved the pool and the magic show the live music on saturday was great the playpark was well used

不喜欢 no wifi even though i parked outside the shop which was the only space available

喜欢 The sea view. The location was close to main seaside towns and the grounds were well maintained.

喜欢 Such a lovely place to stay, peaceful and beautiful views. Small site with all amenities for camping. Adventure playground and entertainment on a night for all the family, plus an arcade. Very clean and definitely go again.

喜欢 Very clean and tidy site.Touring pitches spacious and well maintained. Site shop well stocked

不喜欢 Not sites fault but sometimes toilet block was dirty.Lots of tissue and rubbish left.Cleaners did a good job each day,tidying and cleaning block

A wonderful stay at a fabulous location. The views are phenomenal!

The site itself is well laid out, water and waste points in all the right places.

Play park area for kids was excellent and right next to the toilet block.

The views and the clifftop walk are incredible, really couldn’t be topped.

The on site fish and chip shop is a proper chippy, rather than fast food style and excellent, prices not silly given the captive audience element.

Didn’t try the pub as it was rammed but did look to be good.

Would definitely visit again!

The field was perhaps a little too cramped, it was peak season, and the overflow area had loads of room. I think perhaps there are a few too many pitches on the main site.

The toilet and shower block was generally kept quite clean, however I believe more due to diligent guests than staff. At no point did I see a cleaner, which for the number of guests really should have been on duty permanently and the soap dispensers ran out midday on Saturday and were still empty the following evening.

Pool overcrowded, would be much better with a booking system

喜欢 The amount of facilities swimming pool and play parks for the grandkids
I personally wouldn’t want to go again as it was a little bit busy, but I would recommend it to family with the understanding it can get very busy and is noonish late into the night.

不喜欢 Very busy with people enjoying their camping holiday, which led to the toilets being a little bit messy.
People having a great time late into the night, so would be better to have a 10 o’clock curfew to try and keep the noise down but I appreciate people have different opinions.

Leave the car behind: buses running between Scarborough and Bridlington pick up from the end of the Crows Nest Caravan Park drive and discount day tickets are available to keep more money for seaside rock. The kids will probably clamour first for Scarborough: there are the North Bay and South Bay beaches to bounce around as well as the traditional seaside fairground and donkey rides. But Scarborough’s also a hotspot for culture vultures, with the Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Scarborough Art Gallery and Rotunda Museum alongside regular festivals and events throughout the year. Fab Filey is even closer: this Edwardian town has a five-mile stretch of sand and is backed by the peninsula and cliffs of Filey Brigg – this is the place to birdwatch and wildlife spot, with rockpools along the beach and many species of birds and beasts to see all year round. The 110-mile Cleveland Way starts here for hiking your way around Yorkshire’s history and heritage: Scarborough Castle, Whitby Abbey and Dracula tales, Mount Grace Priory and Rievaulx Abbey are all along the route. Away from the seaside and vampires, puff between Whitby and Pickering on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, veer between villages in the North York Moors National Park or get citified around York and Hull, all within easy driving distance of Crows Nest.
