Fresh air and green views all around – and a beach 10 minutes’ walk away? That sounds like a pretty good deal already, but it gets even better when you see the smart, spacious and well-equipped accommodation on offer at Cayton Village Experience Freedom Glamping. Take a look through the pics of this North Yorkshire site and you’ll see that you’ll be staying in a unit that's been nicely designed and kitted out with all the things you'll need for a comfy and cosy stay – beds and bed linen are provided, along with a well-equipped kitchen, a barbecue and outdoor seating. There's also heating to keep you warm on cooler days. Cayton Village is a very nicely maintained site, backed by the village church and niftily designed to blend in with its natural surroundings, with acres of space to relax. The park has a well-stocked shop and an enclosed playground and a multi-use games area. All of this means this is a very pleasant place to spend some time… but it’s also in a handy spot for all sorts of days out, from beach times and coast walks to moorland walks to family-friendly attractions like Flamingo Land. Best of all for those who feel driven mad with driving: buses to Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington run right from the Cayton Village Experience Freedom Glamping entrance.

喜欢 Very well maintained, clean and quiet. Close to Cayton Bay and with a lovey pub nearby in the Farrier. Good public transport links to neighbouring resorts.

I stopped in a chalet/pod , absolutely spotless with every utensil/ facility available

I had problems with the TV ,I told the office and a jovial chap was round in ten minutes (through the pouring rain )

On getting home i realised I had left my firestick in the back of the tv ,I left them a email and was called back telling me it had been located and would post it on to me foc

All in all a great stay

喜欢 Just got back from our 3 night stay in a micro lodge at cayton village. We were a little unsure how it would go at 1st as this was are 1st glamping trip as a family of 4 (2 young kids), but it was great. The microlodge was perfect and included many little extras we didn’t expect which was nice. The site was very clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. It is also in a good location for day trips to Filey, Scarborough, Playdale farm. We hope to return soon.

Very accommodating, I couldn’t arrive until late due to circumstances and the staff were so lovely.
Very clean and comfortable caravan, all mod cons, all the facilities were so clean.
We walked to Scarborough from the site, lovely picturesque walk.
Fish and chips on site at night the best I have ever tasted.

喜欢 Modern accommodation in nice peaceful surroundings. Large patio with table and chairs. Fully equipped kitchen and en suite facilities. Comfy bed.

喜欢 pod was very clean and had everything you needed supplied already, very peaceful place and close by to the beach and primrose valley etc. disabled/pet friendly pods are much for spacious than the non pet friendly pods

不喜欢 quite small pods inside, bed leg was faulty and moved and made noise all night, could of done with a better lay out, could not watch tv whilst in/on the bed because it couldn’t be seen so had to move all the tv to be able to see it. WiFi was not great at all🥺 also the electric blinds get confused as you use one remote for one and then when you try to open/close the next blind with the other remote it open/closes the first blind you did. Also the remotes was backward you have to press up to go down and down to go up🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

To the coast? The nearest beach is Cayton Bay, just 10 minutes’ walk away; pick up snacks and beach bits and bobs at the small hut, or go rockpooling in one of the many rocky hollows. You may also like to head to Scarborough (10 minutes’ drive) for more beach time, Sea Life Scarborough and Alpamare UK waterpark, or to pick up the Cleveland Way for the four-mile walk to Filey. Elsewhere along the coast, the likes of Bridlington (25 minutes) and Robin Hood’s Bay (40 minutes) are popular destinations, and you can also explore Dracula’s ‘home town’ of Whitby (45 minutes). For birdwatchers, RSPB Bempton Cliffs (20 minutes) is a must-visit, as it’s home to the only gannet colony on the UK mainland. Inland, you may like to take a hike in the North York Moors National Park (35 minutes), hit the bike trails in Dalby Forest (25 minutes), ride the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from Pickering (35 minutes) or treat the kids to rides, shows and an animal encounters at Flamingo Land Resort (40 minutes).
