喜欢: Beautiful location, with a nice barn to sit in to ear, read a book etc. which is great if you are sleeping in a tiny tent as I was. Also had a snack vending machine and a hot drinks vending machine which was a brilliant idea. The bacon butties from the snack bar were also excellent. Would definitely stay again.

不喜欢: I couldn’t get the hot taps in the loo to work. Maybe just me.

喜欢: Facilities Location Friendly staff

不喜欢: The midges 🤣 Large group yapping until late hours, but with some ear plugs and having walked 25 miles, soon fast asleep.

喜欢: Perfect place to stay, Carol and Dave were amazing hosts always happy to help and advise, definitely will be staying again. Barn was great to sit and chat with other walkers or to just chill over a brew/food. Facilities very clean and regularly checked by staff.

喜欢: Fantastic site in a beautiful part of the country owners were very attentive and helpful and the barn with the kitchen was a great added little bonus. Ideally situated for the Yorkshire 3 peaks or walking the caves or ingelton falls will defiantly be returning

不喜欢: Only negitive is Wi-Fi is only available in the barn if you need to phone home but the positives massively out way this

For committed peak baggers, trails up to Ingleborough and Whernside run just by the farm, and the starting point for third peak, Pen-y-ghent, is 15 minutes' drive away. While some mark off their scorecards and leave, others stay and explore this area stuffed with wonders both natural and man-made. The Settle-Carlisle Railway, and its transit over the mighty Ribblehead Viaduct, marks a meeting of human endeavour and landscape: don't miss a chance to take one of the world's great rides: 73 miles through remote and sometimes jaw-dropping scenery from Ribblehead, five minutes' drive away, or Settle (half an hour). If you're up for something more active, it's 10 minutes into Ingleton for tours of the White Scar Caves and the trail to the waterfalls. Heading further westwards towards the Forest of Bowland, it's a 45-minute drive to paths up Bowland's highest point, White Hill for views of Dales, Lakes and even sometimes, the sea. The area is popular with cyclists, too, with numerous bike routes through Gisburn Forest starting from the Forest Hub café, also 45 minutes away. If water's more your element, it's half an hour to Semer Water for coarse and brown trout fishing, canoeing and windsurfing and if you're a tad peckish after all that outdoor stuff you could head up to Hawes (20 minutes) and sample the cheesy delights of the Wensleydale Creamery.
